I said ages ago 9th season was gold and contained some of the best episodes after I saw some people expressing opinions that later series were bad. I got lots to say but will keep it till the last ep finish’s to avoid ‘hyping’ or spoilers.

When mark does coke and says “fk everyone, fk you dad!” It’s like the season 1 ep ‘on the pull’ when he smokes a joint in the toilets at the bowling alley and say “I am initiated. I am drug user, fk the police!!”🤣

I used to think it wasn't a very good season. After this rewatch, I'm loving it. Perhaps at the time there was a bit of Peep Show burnout, that stopped people appreciating how good it is?

The problem with these later series is they're retreading water. I'm glad it ended when it did, the characters were played out. That said I still find it funny, just not as great as the first few series. Mark doesn't deserve to be happy, he should be locked to Sophie.

I agree that most of the ideas get played out within a certain number of series and then most shows turn into basically a money making exercise. I heard some guy say he thinks no show can really be as great as it was in the beginning after like 5/6 seasons. That said - I think the writing in still elite all the way through and the show is still fking hilarious. Since is ended there’s talk about doing another series maybe when they are old man, but I think that will never happen.
