I have to admit when I saw that this show won, I thought to myself, oh that's not for me, I won't watch it. But then when you posted the reaction for the first 4 episodes I said to myself "oh come on, I'll give this show a fair chance" plan was to see the first 4 episodes and then decide whether I would continue to watch it or not. After 4 episodes I was so excited that I couldn't wait for you and I watched everything including season 2. Without spoiling anything I have to say this is a great show. I enjoyed watching it so much! Ricky Gervais has earned great praise and respect from me on all levels. I also wanted to thank everyone who voted for this show because I honestly tell you, I would never come to this show on my own. And that would be a shame !! I thank you all and look forward to the next reactions for this amazing show.

This is my third time watching this show and both times previous I’ve felt sad watching it. It may be the fact I’ve seen it twice before but I feel it’s best off being binge watched for more emotional value.

I like the music in this show. I've no doubt Ricky picks all the music since he was a radio DJ for so long and lot of the songs in the shows he does are songs he played on the radio or in his Q&A things he's done. It's not over the top stuff it's essentially mood music for a scene

Different kind of tears for this episode. I remember crying a bit for series 1 when I first watched it. But I remember crying for every single episode of series 2, but I can't remember why! 🤣

One thing I do like about watching the shows with Ricky , if you've listened to all the XFM radio shows and podcasts, there is sooo many call backs to things said on that show in all the shows he has done. The rice pudding thing was based on a story that Ricky told about a friend of his being offered rice pudding made with breast milk by a neighbour or something like that. The conversation with his dad in this one always gets to me as it reminds me of my grandmother who had Alzheimer’s/dementia before she passed. She probably couldn't tell you what she did the week before but could remember things perfectly from decades ago, but then she would also muddle memories and thoughts from different years together. We had a conversation probably around 2010-ish and she seemed fine that day, but then she started worrying about my grandfather because "he's somewhere in North Africa fighting Jerry". My grandfather had died in 2006 which at that moment she'd forgotten about and thought World War II was currently happening. She knew I was her grandson but I wasn't born until 1982 and my mother until 1947 after the war. It's strange how the brain works.

I didn’t have time to watch your reactions to episode 5 and this one till now, but i knew you’ll crack up when Lenny was eating that breast milk pudding haha. This episode was just a nice conclusion to the season overall and Tony insulting the therapist always makes me laugh. If you thought the therapist was out of control this season wait till you watch season 2 lol. I’m glad you liked this season. Looking forward to see you react to the next season.

Don't worry Josh I teared up well before the end and then the end too that's what good writing does when it can make you laugh, cry even anger at a character. Great reaction and like you said waiting for her answer when she didn't realise it's importance was emotional.

One thing about this show is that there are plenty of moments that really show Ricky is a much better actor than he gets credit for

Brilliant series. I thought i'd seen a good out-takes reel for season 1 that would have been good to react to but I can only seem to find very short videos. There is a proper blooper reel for series 2 but it contains spoilers, would be good to see after series 2 is complete though.

Thank you for sharing man. Dementia and Alzheimers is tough I feel so bad for those who have it and their families as well. That has to be so frustrating on both sides.

I cannot for the life of me understand why Ricky writes all of these female characters to get all watery-eyed over how great a person his terrible self-insert character is :/ the dude has only done disgusting things and now we’re supposed to believe he’s a brilliant bloke because he said so? What
