This was a fantastic episode.  After seeing the title of the episode and Rimmer talking crap from the start, I thought he would end up in quarantine in need of t help from the gang. Rimmer is such a Smeg Head all the time that I wasn't sure if he was actually infected or just screwing with them lol. Crazy rimmer was hilarious (Chris Berrie) did a great job. I really enjoyed this episode it was entertaining though out. I hope everyone is having a fantastic day !!

The memes of Mr Fibble/King of the Potato People were strong during Covid Lockdown. I remember the watching eyes appearing on screen while casual dialogue was happening freaked me out when i was young.

My favourite all time episode, perhaps of any comedy ever. The scene where they are arguing in quarantine is like a sketch, and is arguably some of the best 'sketch writing' I've ever seen performed, just a hit joke every second or two. "What do you expect to see in there? A Turner seascape perhaps?" - just amazing :D

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned already but as you’re interested in merch; they made models of the ships - A set of 2 small die cast models from Corgi (a model company), and a large plastic ‘play-set’ of Starbug with some small low detail statuettes of the cast. If you end up looking for models I’d recommend you don’t look for the Corgi models for now as the set technically contains a spoiler for a later season (if you want to remain completely spoiler free), or have someone else just look for the Starbug ‘play-set” if you’re interested. The play-set itself functions as a model of Starbug and looks rather good when closed. If I recall correctly there’s a small Skutter model as well, but it’s also made by Corgi so maybe avoid it too in case you see the other die cast set in the related items.

I like the concept of positive viruses. It reminds me of the Futurama episode when Fry gets worms and they actually make him stronger and smarter. I can totally imagine in the future scientists finding out that positive viruses exist (in some sort of way).

Awesome bud I will have to look those up. I have seen a few things on ebay when I originally searched for merchandise but I have mostly seen tshirts that independent designers made.

You're in the real purple patch of Red Dwarf right now. The last three episodes of series 5 and the first five of series 6 are 8 of my top 10 episodes of Red Dwarf, probably. Can't wait for you to check them out.

Treasure this series and next series dude. You only get one go at them being new. I like s7 but its a change in feel to 5/6 and most people think its not as good, still packed with sci-fi and laughs though. Oh and non spoiler heads up info for next episode - a pot noodle is a brand of cheap noodle snack where you add water into the plastic pot and it has basic flavours and tastes awful.
