Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

This episode was wild Max and Paddy almost went through with killing a guy lol. I wonder how this is going to bite them in the ass. Will the husband show up at home trying to convince the wife to leave town with him? Will he go to the police now that he knows their names and faces?¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I really look forward to the next episode, I am super curious. Brian was really pissing Jerry off when he kept interrupting him lol. I didn't get the fortune cookie joke, it went over my head. I missed the joke at the beginning to when the power went out as well. When he said what would Thora Hird do, I had to look her up.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

The lady mentioned at the start by Potter was the old lady that did the adverts for stair lifts in the UK. That’s why he asked what would she do.

Hey Josh, Piss Flaps... Brian said, "Help yourself to a fortune cookie, they're home-made". Someone in his 'crew' wrote something rude rather than the usual inspirational 'fortune'. It came back to bite him on the arse because it just so happened the person to open that one was a journalist. Not everything has a special meaning :D it's just funny. You should definitely watch "Max and Paddy's Road To Nowhere" after this. Its a spin off and follows them in their adventures in their new motor home. If I were you, I'd just follow on from this as though it were the same show. All the best.

Which actress is best at defrosting cattle? Thora Hird!

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Thora Hird was an actress who was in some advertisements for stair lifts when she was old lol.

I know it has to go to a vote, but it would make a lot of sense to go straight on to Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere after this. Its a direct continuation, and it's only one season. Seems stupid to leave the story, only to come back to it for a few weeks after a long break.

Anonymous

Following up with max and paddy road to nowhere would be great, only 6 episodes. If not not then stick it on the vote list if its not already. Thanks. Josh.

Hi Josh, can you consider "House of Fools" for the next poll? It's short (only 13 episodes over 2 seasons) and is written and stars Vic & Bob, and matt Berry (Douglas from the IT Crowd). It is a super wacky sitcom as you'd expect from V&B and i think you'd find it hilarious.

I was trying to think of an alternative that might translate better, so Imagine Brian had an accident with a pillow, in America he might say "right, what would Mike Lindell do?"

Anonymous

Yes, I love House of Fools, that needs to go on the list. Vic, Bob and Matt Berry.

I really wish you were watching Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere straight after Phoenix Nights. It flows nicely into it and continues the story of Max and Paddy. Love your reactions, keep up the good work.

You've got to move on to Max & Paddy mate. It's just 6 episodes, but it's wild. Absolutely hilarious show.

This is completely random & you might not even see this comment however i feel compelled to tell you how much your videos mean to me, i came across you on Youtube god knows maybe 2 years ago now & have been hooked in ever since; also been a Patron for about 5 months & have loved watching pretty much every single day. I don't know what it is there's just something absurdly comforting about watching things you love be re-affirmed by someone else or watching new movies & shows with someone & laughing along the way. Now i know you don't know me, but i feel you're like a friend to me i've just never met & that i hang out with through the medium of the internet... whether its just laughing along or listening to your random life stories or bits of wisdom you add after every reaction. I lost my Grandad just over a month ago, he weren't just a Grandad to me, he was my best fucking friend. Words cannot describe the emptiness & pain i feel every single day, however watching your videos & anticipating particular days to watch the next episode of a show is one of the biggest things that keeps my head above water & to distract me from reality. Thank you for your continuous authenticity & humility, keep doing you man. I'm certain i can speak on behalf of thousands of us when i say thanks for everything Josh, sincerely Rhys x

I hope you don't mind me chiming in. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your grandad. It's been fifteen years since my last grandad died. Every time it's Man Utd vs Arsenal (his team) or an England game is on my first thought is to go and watch it with him at his house. It's also coming up to five years since my dad passed away, and I was the one who found him, lifted him off the couch and had to do CPR while waiting for the ambulance. It's a moment that'll haunt me for the rest of my days. If you're like myself then you'll never fully get over it as I miss them, and others, every day, but it does get easier over time. I know it's not simple to do, but he probably wouldn't want you to be sad when you're thinking about him. Try to keep your chin up and remember the good times you had together. Take care.

I don't get why you seem to think it's their responsibility to take those two kitchen dudes back home 😂

Lol that is hilarious man thanks. I do want to check that out for sure bud. Make sure you vote on future polls =]

Thanks bud I will keep it in mind. That actually sounds awesome, especially because Matt Berry is in it he is hilarious as well as the others.

Agreed, we could see it as a continuation of Phoenix Nights. Everyone will forget who the characters are by the time it makes it in a poll, and Josh would then need to organise another poll after those 6 weeks have run. So fewer polls, continuation of story line, and with Phoenix nights included, it’s still only 18 episodes as a combined block. Perhaps Josh could do a mini poll “Continue Thursdays with Max and Paddy” Yes or No. (ok so that wipes out the benefit of not having an extra poll 😃) It wouldn’t have been my first choice, but it is funny, and even if a lot of others Patreon’s wouldn’t have picked it, they’d probably agree it makes sense to let the series follow on ?

Hi Josh It brings to light how much others enjoy the entertainment you provide as much as I do. Phoenix nights was new to me and took time to get into, but once I got used to the characters and the style of the shows writing I've become a fan and especially with moments like whats her name Mary and her reaction to the love eggs had me rolling in fits of laughter. It's also taught me to broaden my horizons when being introduced to shows I've not seen before from other Patrons. My condolences to all those who have lost loved ones keep up the good work Josh It's much appreciated.

I know the barmaid who plays Mary lovely woman lives close to me. She’s a stand up comedian now and appeared on Britain's Got Talent a few years back as her character Mrs Barbara Nice.

I do recommend jumping straight to Max & Paddy when this is over as I feel it’s part of the package still and only 6 episodes then you’ve completed it

Wayyy late to the party on this but a bit of fun trivia: the woman who runs the ladies night is Kate Robbins, she is the sister of Ted Robbins, who plays Den Perry. Her daughter is Emily Atack, who plays Charlotte in Inbetweeners (meaning her Uncle is Den Perry) On top of all that, Kate's Mum is Paul McCartney's first cousin; so Charlotte Big Jugs is Paul McCartney's first cousin, twice removed...
