Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

Dude when brent walked in with the same jacket as his boss I thinking this dude is too much lol. I love how tried to do a cool walk because he was really feeling himself. Dawn was watching Tim like a hawk, it has to be hard to watching someone your super into moving on. Gareth is such a good character he is so weird and unnecessarily competitive. You have to give it to him he doesn't change his personality even when it comes to the ladies. I felt bad for Brent when his buddy and his boss were picking on him. That had to sting big time, someone you consider a good friend joining with someone you hate to take shit about your poor love life.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

I think one of the biggest laughs I got here was your face while trying to make sense of David's motto. I noticed on another reaction to this episode that a couple of jokes fell flat, and the same ones did in this one too. They're very funny for British viewers but don't translate that well for American audiences because of who and what they're referencing, I suppose. David's inspiration, Ian Botham, was an England cricket player in the seventies and eighties who was seen as a bit of a bad boy during his playing career, notorious for disputes with management, drink-fueled fights in bars, and a drugs ban at one time. Since retiring he's more known for doing charity walks and holding right-wing/conservative political opinions, the opposite of the anti-establishment maverick that David thinks he is. This was actually the first episode of The Office I saw, and it's still one of my favourites. As a kid, Tim gluing Gareth's phone was one of the funniest things I had ever seen. Also, David's interactions and attempts to bond with Oliver, like the darts scene, are some of the funniest scenes in S2, especially watching easy-going and patient Oliver become increasingly bewildered and exasperated by David's clumsy attempts to impress him.

Some really cringey moments in this one. Love it!

A "slapper" is another term for a slut. Ian Botham was a Cricket player and captain of the England team.

Brill reaction as always...My favorite episode next week!!

Really looking forward to next weeks episode. Also have a great Christmas!

Michael

A Slapper is term for a prostitue. Someone else said a slut but i've only ever heard it in reference to prostitution

Big ol' Merry Christmas Josh. Glad you're enjoying some of this stuff. I'm seeing that look on your face at times with Brent where you're utterly unimpressed with him and his attitude. Love that, hahaha. You missed the little throwaway line after about 13:52 where the dildo is doing it's thing and he says "what do you do when that happens?? you probably..." - watch that little bit back again man - it's the best line in the whole thing. I was literally rofling and I've seen this before a few times. Absolutely genius detail.

I've never heard it used to refer to a prostitute. I know it to mean a slut. Maybe it's a regional thing? I'm from the Midlands.

Gary Tamblyn

Always laugh when he sticks his feet up on the desk and you get to finally see his ridiculous Cuban heels that has been getting everyone's attention

Hi Josh. I worked for 22 years for Midland Bank in the UK and then for HSBC when it took Midland over, then got squeezed out when the financial crash happened. Anyway, over the years I saw many useless people get promoted just to get them out of the department rather than fire them. All because of misguided perception and people having a dominant personality without doing any work! Not charisma! And I tried to be friendly to my staff in order for them to enjoy their job more but it didn't really work. I didn't get respect sometimes and couldn't get the balance right. So I wasn't cut out to handle the senior management position I got with my personality! Brent is sad or tragic as a character. He wants love and friendship so much but goes over the line, trying way too hard as he does it in the workplace. I hope you'll stick with the silly British comedy as it really makes me laugh! Thanks and hope you have a great 2021.
