Spoiler Free: Sorry folks my stomach kept me up all night . I hope my drowsiness doesn't show to much in this video. I don't want anyone to misconstrue my drowsy face as an indicator that I was not enjoying this episode. I assure you I am still enjoying the show. I looked up wally brain I assumed it meant dumb but wasn't sure. The definition is funny its specific about what type of person it is referring to. (Redheads) lol why??

Here's the definition I found.

Wallybrain

A stupid person with the brain a size of a pea!with ginger hair.

Thanks for watching !!!

As always I would love to read your comments below.

Wally just means stupid, a Wally brain just means a stupid brain. Not really anything to do with hair colour

Paperduck

The definition you read might've been written with Rodney in mind

The with ginger hair bit made me laugh 😂 what!? I've never heard it referring to gingers specifically. Weird! I'm pretty sure it only means a daft/idiotic person with any hair colour. Funny though 😁

Wally is a lighthearted way of calling someone an idiot when they have done something silly. So is "Plonker", but it's a funnier word.

Fighting the inch war is another way of saying losing weight or dieting.

Khazi means toilet

You have a job to get a suit off the peg now, don't you, [let alone after being mutated] - getting a suit straight from the shop rather than fitted by a tailor.

Grandad said "War is hell".

P**i shop. Sign of the times, I'm afraid. It is what most corner shops were known as in the 80s and 90s as they were often owned by Pakistani or Indian families. Thankfully, we don't call them this any more.

Del always uses French.... and always gets it wrong (which is funny as fuck because no one ever corrects him, just gives him a funny look at the most). Nobless = nobles. (adjective. of or relating to a hereditary class with special social or political status)

The Paki shop made me spit my drink out.... so true for the time.

John Sullivan (the writer) was an absolute genius with his ability to write about deep/depressing subjects, then bring you back to see the comedic side of things. In later episodes he absolutely honed this skill and will have you crying (literally) one second, then laughing your head off the next. As many have said about the 1st series, the show was just finding its feet. It starts getting a lot better in S2, and in S3 it really takes on a life of its own. The characters are fully established, you know a lot of their back story that keeps getting referred to, and it just takes off. I'm so glad you are watching this with us. It's like watching my favourite program with a friend who is beginning to realise just how good it is. Love to both of you from the UK.

One show that might be worth reacting too when you’ve finished Only Fools is Rock and Chips. It’s a prequel series. There’s only three specials (I think they’re an hour so may have to be in parts) but Jay from the Inbetweeners plays a teenage Del Boy. There’s White Gold too which is written by one of the writers of the Inbetweeners and stars ‘Jay’ and ‘Simon’ as double glazing salesman in the 80s - it’s really good and I think you’ll enjoy it

Another poor episode this one for me,has a few half funny moments but also has some cuts in it.

Daniel Davies

There aren't that many, if any at all, iconic moments or episodes of 'Only Fools and Horses' in Series 1, but I think it certainly picks up in Series 2, once they've got their footing and know exactly what the characters are.

Jonny

I hope you feel better soon dude. I will just say, like everyone else this is worth sticking with. Once it hits its stride it is great.

I'm sort of glad season 1 is out of the way, because now the show really kicks into a new gear. There's one moment in season 2 that is one of the most iconic moments in the whole show, and whilst again season 2 is still a little underpar compared to future seasons, THAT moment is completely worth it's iconic status. Just by saying, THAT moment, British comedy watchers already know what I'm talking about

AfterWorkReactions

I can see why you all enjoy it so much it really does have so many hilarious moments but like you said deep moments as well. I will have to check out more things this writer did as I am really loving this show.

AWR93

On to the last episode of season 1.. can’t wait until seasons 2 & 3 where the show really takes off! Thanks for these reactions josh!

If/When you get to season 4 You should look up the extended/special episodes too. They are roughly 1.5 hour episodes, meant to be watched between seasons and i think the first one is between season 4 and season 5. There's about 7 or 8 specials in total i think. They are well worth watching as all of them are very good and fairly important to the overall story. Thought it worth mentioning as if you are searching each series only you might inadvertently miss them. I'm not sure if they are considered regular episodes or not.
