ROUNDUP: February, Week 3 (Patreon)

I decided to start taking more time between pieces -- to give each drawing more polish, and push myself in ways that I just *can't* if I'm trying to post new art every day. That's why I've only got two entirely new color drawings this week, along with a couple compilations of older artwork. I've also got a couple of really cool things cooking, but I can't share the WIP because they're collaborations -- hopefully soon!

1. Greta [and Kat] (original characters): members of the fictional punk band, Bitch Wolf. In my head, this was them after a show, and Greta's still revved up and ready to go. Kat, being more low-key, just wants to go home. It's funny to me that my original plan for Kat was that she would just be an original design I could use for hentai manga, but I immediately started imagining her whole backstory and all her friends and her boyfriend, etc., to the point that I still haven't done a single NSFW piece with her. Someday!

2. Leona Heidern (SNK / KoF): this was a profile picture commission! I have a big queue of them to work on when I have the extra ambition, but I'm hoping to use whatever "art energy" I have to push my personal and commercial work further. Leona's a great design -- I know almost nothing about King of Fighters but the moment I saw her I knew she was good.

3. Black and White Artwork (compilation of 4 images): 3 of these were for Inktober and the other was a drawing I did to vent out some bad feelings (the swirly aura silhouette one). I still want to make that jacket in the first pic a reality, it's so cool, lol. And then two characters I think are cool, Shanoa and Rei. Even though the Rei piece is sloppy and simple, I'm really proud of it.

4. Granblue Fantasy Characters (De La Fille, Ferry, Narmaya, Threo): I hardly play GBF anymore except to login for daily rewards, but I still love the character designs. Ferry was the character who originally got me interested in Granblue (I remember asking a friend, "Who's the hot blue-haired chick with the animal ears?" when I saw some fanart). De La Fille was the first SSR character I rolled, and Naru was who I used my first Surprise Ticket on. Threo is also there because she's cute, lol.

That's what I've got for this week! I understand if anyone's disappointed that my output has dropped significantly since the beginning of the year, but the stress of that schedule was taking a bad toll on me. I'm excited about working on art again now, and a big part of that is having time to breathe instead of rushing new work out. Hope you'll all still enjoy it.
