Hey guys,
Sorry about the delay on this one.
It's coming out a lot later than I normally like to release builds.
But here we have the base concept for the rework I have been doing over the past few months. It's still quite rough around the edges, but at least demonstrates where I was intending to go with this. Been thinking over my last post a bit, and perhaps I am being too hasty already considering scrapping what I have done.
Please, I'd love your feedback now more than ever on this. As I said before, the artwork and story is awesome and I want to make something awesome gameplay wise that supports it.
To give you a general hint of what to do when you arrive at Lumis:
- Increasing corruption is key to getting more powers
- The game doesn't tell you (yet) when you have got a new node, but it should be every 2 markers on the corruption track you get a new one.
- Each character requires a different corruption ability to progress
- Currently it only includes Mary, Shel, Velexia and Aewen (I recommend not wasting your corruption nodes on detect magic ability)
- I wanted to do a major corruption quest for each skill, but currently only strength has made it into the game (speak to the dock worker). Ignore Gob's hints.
The game can be used with mouse or keyboard, but now mostly favours mouse input (in fact you can play the entire without using keyboard once I believe)
There is still A LOT of polish I want to add to this game. Sound effects being a key one, tightening up some of the daily cycles / events and how they interact with stamina and mana and finishing off those major corruption mini quests (so it's less of a grind to unlock new skills.)
I likely won't be responding to questions / bug reports etc this weekend. Need to take some time off and relax as its been pretty jam packed the last 2 weeks (especially today)
Again, please let me know what you think. Brutal honesty is going to better than nothing here for sure!
