Happy international singles day to all you single people out there!
Our devlogs are normally for patrons only, but to celebrate|console the single people out there, we decided to make today's devlog post public.
Our cover image is one of the facial expressions for Cleo, still to be implemented in the game! For those of you who are unaware, Zaph does a fantastic job with our character art.
Caba has also been hard at work with our backgrounds, and made some changes to UIC Tabitha's bridge sketch. We've attached a teaser from a portion of the BG. Next up is linework, and then color!

We've made some good progress on coding yesterday and the day before, and will be taking a break today to celebrate some other significant happenings in my personal life.
But enough rambling and on to what has actually changed in the devbuild since the previous one from last week!

  • Added pauses and facial expressions to scene F.
  • Added some character movement during interactions.
  • Added medical chime sfx.
  • Added Metalstorm sfx.
  • Tidied up scene transitions between scene E and scene F.
  • Cleaned up redundant code from episode 1.
  • Added some polishing to episode 1, scene 1.
  • Added metal engraving sfx to episode 1.
  • Added scene H to episode 2 and rewrote some flavor content. (Excluding the Mah'Abeu content, only 3 more scenes left to add to episode 2!)

The Mah'Abue content is also something that we are really excited about. At its core Infinite Stars is choice driven story. We want players to feel like they each have their own, personal journey over the years to come. The Mah'Abeu content will allow us to tailor this experience by giving the players their own character to interact with the world and the crew between episodes. This will also allow us to add optional side content without disrupting the main storyline.
We've shared too much already, but we can't contain our excitement to share episode 2 with everyone! Keep an eye out for our call for beta testers that should be going out in the next 2-3 weeks, or join our mailing list if you want to ensure that you don't miss it!
