i would be disappointed if you watch kai over og dbz. The dialog is just terrible and sounds staged and bad where og dbz sound more natural and more realistic please don't watch kai before watching og dbz. You can always watch dbz kai after watching the original dbz 291 episode show. I beg you please watch as a first timer dbz original 291 episodes then you can watch kai afterwards if you want to.:(

Not really...maybe she could watch both. The script in DBZ Kai follows much more closely to the manga and is very close word to word of the Japanese aired version. Also the titles of each episode DBZ Kai are pretty much direct translations from the Japanese version.

Can't wait for your reactions. These following arcs in Dragonball are some of my favorites in the entire series.

without spoiling dbz for you lets just say you have all the right questions and they will be answered in dbz, the orgin of goku, everything. and the villians are nothing like dragONBALL they are out to straight up kill and some dbz arcs gets real dark . oh and please do the og dbz theres one esipsode in particular that when u get to it u have to hear the orginal music as it was intended ill let you know when u get there because they dont have the orginal music on the streaming legal sites they got rid of them (lawsuit), you gonna have to watch the clips on youtube or check out a link to the orginal og dbz esipodes with the bruce froconor music and how it was intended when it first came out. the old music just gives the show more emotion it really does makes u feel something and it really made the show when it came out. i think ppl in the comments know what im talking about without spoiling it lol

Episode 78 to see how much fun Goku and Upa are having was really nice. after everything the two have been through, they deserve it. there were also many beautiful character moments here. How happy everyone was for Upa or how natural it is for Goku to help someone. DBZ or Kai For me it's relatively easy. if it becomes DBZ, I'll watch DBZ with you. should it be Kai, I'll watch Kai with you for the first time. DVD This was not so easy. the timer doesn't help me and the German DVD is slightly cut. so I had to pay more attention to whether we were in sync.

OK I have no issue with you missing filler, but you missed a rather important episode that introduces a couple of characters that are quite important now. Episode 82 does take place during the time where Goku is training and "filler" time but it is also used to introduce the antogonists for this arc. I personally would not count this episode as filler since it actually is fully related to the continuity of the series. The eternal dragon (which has a name you will learn in time) is not all knowing or all powerfull but definitely has a large amount of magical power that allows it to grant almost any wish that is asked of it. Any limitations may be explained later in the series. In terms of the dragon being able to decide what wishes are granted, it is assummed that it does not have that option as it grants whatever wish is asked of it when summoned by whoever asks, no matter if the wish is good or bad. Dragonball is the story that follows Goku growing up and deals with issues that were brought about by the dragonballs. Dragonball Z (named such becuase at the time the creator thought this would be the final entry in the series) is the story of Goku's past and his legacy. Dragonball Super is the taking the story further into devine realms. Dragonball GT (grand tour) is considered non-cannon but is more galactic and is one story behind a possible fate for Goku. An enemy that you may like without spoiling...there are actually a few. It's actually probably easier to say an enemy that you will hate haha. The best Villian in the series in my opinion. No spoilers, but in Z it's not even his final form.

So I'm obviously way late to this party and just catching up, but I'm a tad bummed that episodes 79-83 were skipped honestly. From what I recall they're some really fun episodes, and despite being partially filler I think they do a good job of showing Goku doing exactly what Roshi told him to, travel and experience the world. I hope she went back and watched the intro to Tien and Chiaotzu at least. Not the end of the world I guess.

who said to skip episode 82 I know I'm late but 82 was important to the next arc. Also I feel goku's explorering the world was important but my opinon.
