Most weekends I am lucky enough to spend some time with my grandad. He is a light in my life, my longest-standing role model and a fantastic gardener. Despite being old he still adores taking care of his garden and we often sit there to chat. It's a place that makes my heart so happy and calm. He has two little ponds with koi fish and half of his garden is a dedicated aviary featuring canaries, finches and quail. The rest of the garden is adorned with beautiful flowers, climbing fruit bushes (his favourite is the tayberry one, a cross between blackberries and raspberries), a cherry tree and various vegetables he grows.

This place is one of the most precious places on the planet to me and I wanted to share a little of it with you. I took my 3Dio last weekend and asked my grandad if I could record & share the sounds. He was so excited and taken back by the proposal - "you think people will want to listen to my garden?" and I said of course! Then he asked me if people will know where he lives if I share this audio because, "I can't have lots of people visiting my birds, I might not be in!" ^-^ he is so sweet. Now he wants me to record video & audio of his garden and put it on YouTube, ASMR style! Summer project sorted I guess. ^-^

I hope you love listening to the sounds like I do. I did try to stop the peaking but birds will be birds. It's a little sharp around the 1 minute mark so be careful of your little ears!
