Ah, so you're way further east than I realised. Seems I got bamboozled as to where you were. With people talking about ABQ I thought you were already there Now I'm wondering ................. are we going to be seeing a video on Youtube of a vast underground cave shot by your best lo light camera ? Carlsbad NP coming next ? For anyone considering this place, its in such an obscure location, it is perhaps best done along with a Roswell intention, being just a couple of hours apart and not much else there. The lighting effects down there are gorgeous. Take the walk down through the main mouth of the cave - as it feels like you're in an old school under the earth adventure movie. There's an elevator back up. Don't forget the unforgettable 'bat show' after the cave visit, in which tens of thousands of bats come out like in From Dusk Till Dawn, within a tight predictable window. They flock out of the same cave entrance you walked in through earlier, after a park ranger gives a talk about them. They know almost to the minute when they will appear.
