Absolutely loved hanging out with Mom and taking three days off. It’s time to get back on the road so I don’t get too behind on videos. Getting into New Mexico closer to my property.

You should go visit the Nuclear Science museum outside Albuquerque. I just saw someone's brief tour of it and it looked amazing! On my list to visit. https://www.nuclearmuseum.org/

I am positive I am in good hands, the hopeful part is that the rig turns out to be a keeper. After getting situated I was thinking of heading to Arizona to buy the parts for a solar system, seems to be the place to go for the best prices. Thanks for letting us know about Robert so we have someone we know we can trust and pay without worry. Nice not to have any stress wondering about quality or getting screwed. Without him I would just be taking a shot in the dark whether I was gonna get a good job or just throwing money away.

ABQ has some legacy route 66 stuff in a section of its downtown ( neon signs etc ) Seconded for the nuclear museum. Eric if you have time visit the lovely hispanic Old Town area and make a visit to the ( oddly named ) Rattlesnake Museum. Many, many live rattle sneks, coiled up looking menacing; just waiting to bite you, purely for something to do. On the way out west off I-40 there is Acoma Pueblo, or "Sky City" mesa. They give you a talking walk tour up on the mesa and tell you about their unusual culture. Very photogenic with great views https://www.acomaskycity.org/page/home

Eric, on your way west for the homestead I don't know if this would work for you by your planned route, but I think it would be worthwhile if you were to alter it a bit. To catch a visit to the Very Large Array radio telescope station with huge dishes on rails - think the Jodie Foster movie Contact. Half way between Magdalena and Datil. They do tours too. Would make an amazing video. And on your way out west from there, a welcome return to ......... PIE TOWN ! What is there in Pie Town ? " There's pie ! "

On my visit I caught a sight of something rare - they were lifting with a crane a whole set of wings onto a B-52 bomber. It seemed to be one big piece.

Best time to visit ABQ is during the Balloon Fiesta, a week long event in October, but attend it during one of the two "Special Shapes" days ( just Google image it ! ) Get up early for the dawn light start, come back in the evening for a repeat ( the " Glowdeo " ). Its a lifelong memory in the making. You will be stunned.
