Just dropped it off at a local ASE certified shop for a $300 full mechanical pre-purchased inspection. This is a complete fully self-contained class B motorhome. Has everything original. And working. Micro light generator, Dometic three-way fridge, stove, microwave, furnace, running water to the sinks, toilet and shower, hot water heater, and the roof air-conditioning blows cold as well as the dash AC. The only, and I mean the only thing wrong with this Campervan is that the onboard generator will not operate the roof air conditioner. But I believe that I can swap in a more efficient model and be OK. Since I can’t get my f-ing camshafts for the RV, this will give me a neat project to work on and customize. Adding a solar system, and making it roadworthy for small trips to begin with. Comes with lots of receipts with new parts. But I need that engine and drivetrain checked out thoroughly before I pull the trigger. Ford V8 Runs great and current owners say they get 16 miles per gallon

I see someone mentioned a soft start for the AC. I used the following on my Class B and have been able to run the AC with a Predator 2000. It is on flea bay, so hope the link comes through. https://www.ebay.com/itm/RV-A-C-Starter-Easy-start-your-Camper-Rooftop-Air-Conditioner-SIMPLE-DIY/113142143174?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D226424%26meid%3D28a1d8aca68f4f3a880eb37d16cdd41f%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D123293338386%26itm%3D113142143174%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWebWithBBEV2bDemotion%26brand%3DColeman&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

This looks great for short trips while your RV is being repaired. I couldn’t imagine you downsizing permanently to this, but this looks like a fun change of pace for a little while.

I have no idea why manufacturers put carpet around the toilet in these units. Super gross. First thing we did with the 1990 ford falcon we got was tear out the carpet in the bathroom area and replace it with peel and stick vinyl. Also went with a porcelain toilet.

As you go through this, I am paying for mobile inspections for F350s as much as 1000 miles away from us, here, in the Monterey area. We're going to hit the road and buy a travel trailer or fifth wheel as soon as the born-again-RVer, COVID-Crazy, quarantine-on-wheels frenzy/bubble breaks. Right now, RVs are ridiculously priced. BTW- the B looks great. RVer TV goes all over the country in his van conversion and keeps his Newmar parked in Quartzsite.

I know a mechanic..he can ' cracker rig parts '. I also have talked to nerdy mechanics that tell me at the shop, they have a 3D printer to print out of stock car parts

I recently sold my class A and I think a class B like this might be a great set up for me to get back into RVing when the time comes. I hope I can find one as nice.
