It is said that, in times of great oppression, divine messengers will seek out those willing to rise up against their tormentors. To those would-be heroes, a gleaming blade is presented, imbued with the sharpness to cut through the chains that bind them and the wings to let their spirits soar. Over the years, liberators have helped many revolutionaries and freedom seekers leave their mark in history.

Chainbreaker Strike. You have advantage on attacks made with this sword against creatures grappling an unwilling target. The first time each turn you hit one such creature, you deal an extra 2d6 radiant damage, and the grappled creature can use its reaction to automatically escape from the grapple.

Rare variant. Increase the damage to 4d6. The sword has the To the Rescue! property.

To the Rescue! Once on each of your turns, you can move up to half of your speed toward a creature grappling an unwilling target, without expending any movement.

Very rare variant. Increase the damage to 6d6. The sword has the To the Rescue! property. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
