I wonder if it's because it's expecting Windows 98. Also, if you wanted to get rid of the eeeeeeeepc, you could install XP in Virtualbox and install the extentions pack. The extentions pack lets you passthrough USB devices, so the nuggets speak directly to the VM. This would also let you clone the VM for each nugget, so you have a clean install of XP with scarlet fire every time.

that .sys file is very likely on the cd, click browse and select the cd drive. i bet is the drive file for the nugget

I thought the remote looked awesome. I think that weird grey rubber thing you had to remove and replace on the bottom of the nugget would be great for holding chicken nuggets or fries without getting the grease all over your hands. Of course you wouldn't want to actually eat anything that had touched that old grease oozing out of that old plastic.

Yeah, I was also thinking it might need Windows 98. The kernel and driver architecture is different and all. Could use Windows Me as well, which despite its reputation is probably better here, because it supports USB mass storage devices out of the box.

All you needed to do was point it to the driver directory on the driver CD. And if that doesn't work then point it to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and it'll more often than not work just fine

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/729890/Samsung-Yp-Ndu.html?page=16#manual So apparently you're supposed to copy the secypusb.sys file from the driver disc into C:\Windows\System32\Drivers. Why the installer couldn't just do that for you, I don't know. At least the manual tells you to do it, but doesn't exactly tell you how (and the average user might not figure it out considering the Windows directory is hidden by default)

I recommend learning about Virtual Machines instead of using that crappy Netbook. Because you are mostly a Mac user, look into either Virtual Box (which is free) or Parallels (which isn't free but is just super easy to use and one of the best vm hypervisors I have ever used) This way you make a Windows XP or 7 VM that you can clone and install all this bloatware on and just nuke the clone after

The trail for this video is what made me become a Patreon. This was my first MP3 player in the Christmas of 2000. It wasn’t great, the display just did track numbers but it could take smart media cards for a bit more storage. I still love how it looks though and yeah, the battery door was dogshit, mine broke.
