I HAVE THAT VERY iMAC! One of the first three computers I ever used. So many fond memories. Gift from my dad. It still works great (except the CD drive’s cooked).

You say we keep the ads away- (which the no ads IS amazing) buuuuut youtube is throwing up ads anyway on your vids now, at least in the land of freedom bucks. Perhaps you should enable monetization anyway, I'd rather those ads go to you instead of to youtube (I leave them on to support other youtube creators)

mate I gotta say do love your content little word of advice from seeing your videos, on your nuggets you keep hitting the files with the "._" starting words This is a result of your mac making files on these filesystems. Apple likes to litter files on filesystems that are only important to them. Like in your recent vid yeah Scarlet_Fire.mp3 was listed down in the screen but you kept picking the file your mac makes that starts with "._", which is not the actual mp3 file. Ignore those "._" files and your nuggets will play the files fine. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Some of those nuggets that don't boot, they might just need to charge for a while before they're functional. They are probably taking operating power from the built in battery, which has been empty for yonks. Maybe try it on one of them. Nothing wrong with buying cool shit for yourself! I bought a limited edition Gunpla model kit from my favorite Gundam series for $130USD the other month. Still had to put half the thing together (part of the fun honestly) but it puts a smile on my face every time I see it up on my shelf or re-pose it and that’s definitely worth it. Those figures are great desk toppers!
