Tinkering With the Braid Poster (Patreon)

When I last posted about this, I was pretty happy with what I had. But it didn't really fit with the watercolor style I've been cultivating. And the Damask pattern was just one that I stole from the internet so I had to make my own.

This definitely looks more polished and a bit more...me? I think.

But maybe the pattern needed to look more watercolory?

Or more like the pen/water combination that I usually do? And maybe the background should have a watercolor texture?

Maybe the pen lines make it too busy.

I think this is what I'm going to settle on. But I've maybe been staring at these too long to be able to actually see anymore. I'll wait a bit before putting anything in my portfolio.
