I went down to DC  to perform in Camp Variety's Star Trek show and stayed with my family for the weekend. I had some fun, relaxing, things I kind of planned on doing but then I slept for 10 hours and was still too tired to move.

I managed to come back to life and go to the Ellington School of the Arts gala, which Hilary designed and ran. I got to dance with Johnny, eat a good meal and see octogenarian Motown legends perform live.

I also taught my mom how to pose in photos. She was always getting me to pose as a kid, and Hilary (a professional photographer) was the first photographer to coax me into the bizarre postures that make for a good photo, so it was time to return the favor.

"Ok mom, pull your glasses down till you can see over them. Aim your eyes at the camera and turn your face to the side. Now stick out your chin as far as you can and smile!"

I think it worked!
