Raymond Cruz was BEYOND amazing playing Tuco, I think we all or almost all agree on that. Cruz had a hard time with the role though. Here is just one quote from a 2021 article: "There’s nothing fun about it. It’s a great character, but to try to pull it off is really difficult. It’s really high-energy. It’s relentless. It’s very physical and it wears you out. You get very drained," said Cruz. He also talked about working in the desert on top of the role itself. There might be wind whipping in his face but the director made him keep going.
