Yaaaaay! I’ve really been looking forward to this. I LOVED your reaction to the pilot. The way you take everything in and focus on character is always a delight, but especially with this show. 🥰🥰🥰

You know, it never occurred to me before how often the crew gets stabbed or shot. We're only on Episode 2, and already four crew members have needed medical treatment. Sofie raises a good point: What did they do before they had a doctor on board?

The Train Job With... ...and Morena Baccarin. Guest star Michael Fairman. Oh, and Andrew Brinyarski - the guy who plays Crow to "stand at the door to say 'Boo!'" lol - and get sucked through an engine. Great reaction Sophie! IDK if anyone else has mentioned this since I'm new here and there are comments for each ep here and on YT but... You could use a certain book called: The Gorram Shiniest Dictionary and Phrasebook in the 'Verse. Amazon shows it with a slightly different title (...Language Guide and Dictionary in...), but it's the same book otherwise and Amazon has a few left for $12.25 US. Among other things, there are translations of most of the Mandarin (or Pinyin) phrases used in each episode. I'd be happy to send you a copy if there is a P.O. box or something.

After all has been said about FOX and mishandling the show so badly - and they SO DID, I just ignore that this was a 'replacement pilot' and just enjoy it as episode 2. Notice the humor is more prevalent and less subtle than in Serenity. Mal comes off as less of a jerk but still clearly the boss. I also love imitating Niska's lines like, "Ooh, you do not like I kill this man." "My wife's nephew -- at dinner I am getting earful." etc. lol.
