This episode really made me feel for Connor first time ever. His tragedy is really sad. I love how we have the First Evil in Buffy, and on Angel we have one of the "Good" but we have to reject her.

The whole Jasmine storyline was interesting in that it seems to imply humans can never have peace as long as free will exists. Is it worth having peace if all your choices are taken away? Which is more valuable, peace or freedom?

You're really astute. Fully agree on Conor being a completely annoying character this entire season (and i'd say last too) and this episode just finally shows good writing and acting on his part to explain his tragic story. Your'e almost done with the worst season of Angel (that still had some good moments/episodes) so it is all uphill from here :)

“If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.” I wish Jasmine wasn’t so easily defeated. It was kind of anticlimactic because she’s 1 of the most interesting “antagonist” in the entire Buffyverse.
