I think with Elijah the reasoning given for klaus’s intentions for the baby wasn’t so much from who it came from that made it true for him but the fact that it made total sense with klaus’s history as that was the whole premise I think of showing what happened to Celeste, not to mention Hayley actually witnessed proof that the baby could produce hybrids. trusting klaus is as new to Elijah as it is having a baby for klaus, he’s trusted klaus time and time again and always gets the short end of the stick, but even then you can see Elijah catching on to stuff as you saw him ready to apologize to klaus for doubting him before klaus even bit him because he was able to visibly see his brothers disbelief and tell he probably was wrong. Then repeated again his own disappointment when talking to Hayley in the last episode. For Marcel choosing vampirism over Rebekah I think it was more of the sense that the only person who cared for him ever aside from his own mother Being klaus made marcel look up to him beyond what anyone can understand. Aside from being one of the only ones that cared for him he also saved him from the wrath of his biological dad and this I think created some sort of idolization to him beyond a parental figure to where he might’ve wanted to be just like him which came with the vampirism. I think he truly loved Rebekah but the parental and idolization love he had for klaus at the time wasn’t something anyone could outshine even the love for Rebekah. Plus being alive for eternity gave him an infinite amount of time to make it up to Rebekah and the idea of spending eternity with her.As for Rebekah I agree in klaus’s messed up mind he truly in his own eyes defending his sister and doing what he thinks is best for her great reaction 👍

the reason why Klaus put Celeste in harms way was because - as Elijah said in the car to Haley - Elijah became "consumed" with Celeste, spent all his time with her, and "abandoned" Klaus. So, Klaus felt jealous and abandoned by his brother. It's interesting to know that Klaus didn't only do this to Rebecca's lovers in the past - but to Elijah as well.

Gotta say it remains satisfying to see Klaus mollywhopping all these fools after he get's angry and decides to fight back...It just speaks to just how powerful he is and how much he holds back, if he decides to really try and get's angry well this is what happens, he would have killed all 100 of them if he had to...Like you said witches have the best chance against him if that...Klaus also has great scenes it's definitely one of the best episodes in the season along with a few others in the second half

Best episode in season 1 all I'll have to admit it's so rare to see Klaus cry and Even Damon that's why I think us fans tear up when they cry because they rarely do it and they hide alot of pain so we feel more bad for them more than other characters
