besides stefan, bonnie and elena are two are the people that damon cares about, the both of them not only saw the better in him but gave him a chance to redeem himself and allow himself to be the guy that they both believed in. The fact that he had to choose and Elena being the selfless girl that she is rather be asleep for centuries and allow bonnie to finally live just like bonnie has done for elena will always make me emotional. I love bonelena friendship the most when it comes to the girl friendships. Elena realizing bonnie sacficed herself more than once and this one time elena has the chance to return that favor. I never once believed damon would kill his best friend to bring his soulmate back because he is dating someone who's just as selfless as his best friend. That whole scenario is so sad to me but elena knows damon now has bonnie to help him through it cuz she knows bonnie cares and believes in damon as much as she does

i love the friendship and closure that elena and stefan have that allows them to have a beautiful goodbye. As a delena fan I'm happy the stelena fans have that moment where they aren't in love anymore but they do love and care for each other always. And the conversation between caroline and stefan about elenas love for damon and her faith in damon is the conversation I wish a lot of stelena fans would remember that stefan needed his brother more than elena. Elena brought them closer together even if it took time after the break up but elena helped stefan realized that her leaving him for damon was way more than just love, it was how elena saw damon that allow stefan to finally realize he has his brother back, the guy he grew up with and knowing he needed him more than ever.

Elena's sleeping beauty spell was one of the few great decisions they made in TVD .. we all predicted back then that they'll kill her off .. or the less xonvincing option was that Damon will not take the xure and Delena will break up and Elena will leave, maybe go live with Jeremy or something ... but I was so happy they did neither of those scenarios because like you said .. it keeps the hope of seeing her again ... and it would have been a must to get Damon to fall off the wagon if she died or if they broke up .. now we don't know how it'll go or how he'll deal with her absence

Hi Sofie, thanks for great reaction as always. You know what surprised me - noone's mentioned poor Jo :( the whole last episode they were preparing the wedding, the bride died and it looks like only Alaric cared :( I know that Elena is leaving the show and they should say goodbay but still.... strange for me

I don't believe that Damon has ever selfish. Too many people screw him up in the past, he build this wall around him to protect himself, until the love of his brother, Elena, and Bonnie and every single person, like Alaric, or Liz, that were able to see through this wall a kind broken person, gave him a chance to let go and care and to be loved. Elena is not gone, she is asleep. So what is going to happen while she is asleep? Season seven is happening...one of my personal favourite and I cannot wait to share this absolutelly fantastic season with you Sofie.

literally the parallel with stefan words to caroline and them showing delena dancing to the words that stefan said showing that both relationships did the same thing for each other

That is why I've always though that Elena and Damon and Stefan and Caroline are more real, are more suited, because their love for Elena nd Caroline brought the best out of Damon and Stefan and by seen eachother at their best the brother could finally allow themself to move pass their past incomprehentions and resentments, forgive themself and go back to be true brothers. But there still few things that need to be cleared between them.....in season 7.

This episode left me feeling empty for quite some time 😭💔 The goodbye was simply beautiful and it couldn't be any other way but Delena dance 🥺 Like everyone else, I was impressed by the writers that they didn't take the cliche route and kill Elena or get Damon to compel her to go away and live a safe human life but rather put her to sleep for the time so that Bonnie can live her human life 😭💜 I have always loved Bonnie and Elena's friendship and now that Damon also was super close to her, there was no way that he could not save Bonnie. Because this choice wasn't about life and death. Both of them could stay alive but just not at the same time, so it's fair but I will miss Delena and Nina like crazy.

What a terrible wedding. It can be compared to the Red Wedding in GoT. My heart just breaks for Alaric. He was so happy, he practically had a wife and children. And all this disappeared in an instant in one of the happiest moments of his life. I love the songs "Dance me to the end of love" and "L-O-V-E" so much, but now I can't listen to them without crying. When I see a happy Jo walking with her father to this beautiful music, tears themselves begin to flow from my eyes, because I already know what will happen next. The death of Jo and her children saddened me probably even more than the Elena's sleeping beauty spell.

Sofie, you literally read my mind. I also wondered how people could get into Elena's head, because she is no longer a vampire. The first time I watched it, I thought that one of the vampires was acting as a guide. But we see that they did it on their own. Most likely, the writers have forgotten that Elena is not a vampire, and they also cannot let her get into their head. But in any case, the goodbyes were very touching and sad. And I'm also glad that they took Nina out of the show that way.

When Damon pulled his palm out of the hands of the dying Boney, my heart stopped for a moment, because I also did not fully believe that Damon would be able to leave her to die. But when I saw Kai's head flying off his shoulders with the help of Damon's mighty arm, I felt a huge relief. Not only did he not abandon Bonnie, he also killed Kai for this- the only one who could remove the spell from Elena. By the way, I don't want to ruin the moment, but if Kai was so easy to kill, then they could have done it much earlier. Somehow it was too easy to kill such a powerful villain. But it is, my quibble.

Oh, it was a heartbreaking season finale. I cried the most at the end of the 2nd, 6th and 8th seasons. Sofie, thank you for continuing to share your reactions with us. You're my favorite reactor. And I'm really looking forward to seasons 7 and 8. Although, I am very sad that there is so little left until the end of the show

Actually Vampire Elena had straight hair up until 4x17 I think when she was in newnyork and human Elena had wavy hair at the start of the episode, she wore her hair this way for the wedding

It probably was since the episode aired on May 14th 2015 and it was likely shoot before that date, and Ian got married April 26th on the same year. Nina annouced her official leaving on April 6th 2015, the dates are suspiciously close.
