Delena scenes are life. The chemistry between Ian and Nina, together in real life or not is magical, Ian is such a great kisser, thing confirmed by Claire Holt that in an inteview was praising Ian's kissing abilities. Ian and Nina are fantastic on screen and they won awards during this show as on screen chemistry couple. Anyway, the last two episode are really really good and then we are into season 6. Season 6, 7 and 8 are truly fantastic.

A slow episode indeed but had great moments at the same time!! I loved how Caroline, Stefan, Damon and Elena went together for the little trip. It was actually really fun to see how Stefan and Elena were the only two interested in the games while Damon and Caroline were just bored to say the least. I know we don't get too many interactions between Damon and Caroline but the few that we do are just so funny!! I love their banter and Damon's relationship with people in this show has a different dynamic all the time so it's all the more fun to watch them. Stefan trying so hard to keep the whole death of Enzo under wraps wasn't going to work for long but he just kept at it. I knew that it wasn't just about Damon and the fear of his spiral but it was also about not wanting to be thought of as someone less. It does play a huge factor for Stefan and although he didn't kill Enzo technically, he kept believing it because that is what he was fearing others to think. Speaking of Delena, I am always weak about them! The scene in the bathroom when she is drowning and her first instinct is to call out for Damon. Omg, Her voice couldn’t exactly carry far. It wasn’t a scream. In fact the tone wasn’t any louder than she would use to speak in normal conversation. But he still heard her. His senses were on high alert because that is why they were there in the first place, to protect the doppelgangers. Even as her ex-boyfriend he still rushes to her side without the slightest hesitation. Just as he did when they were friends. Just as he did when they were together. Elena calling out for Damon was like the most natural thing in the world for her. Because even now, in this relationship limbo they’ve found themselves in, he’s still the safest place she knows. Nothing bad will happen to her if Damon’s around. And the last scene was the cherry on top! For gods sake Damon fucking Salvatore, a man renowned for his impulsive emotional spirals, is utilizing every ounce of his self control and holding himself together rather than taking his frustrations out on innocents. And he’s doing it for Elena. Even though they aren’t together anymore. Even though he has nothing to prove to her because she already loves him. Even though he has every justification to be furious and react a little rashly. He had hit rock bottom when he went off the rails after Katherine as Elena broke his heart. That whole spiral definitely changed a lot in him and surely made him realise that he cannot do it again as he ends up getting himself caught up in things he has hard time fixing later. Therefore, I had thought that it was important for him to go through that phase too. It is so cute and crazy that he’s angry with her not for keeping a secret from him or lying to him, but simply for being the subject of his intense yearnings and affections. For stirring up a storm of rampant insanity within him because he loves her so much it consumes his life and he needs to stay away from her if they can’t be together. But he also needs to be around her. And that is Damon’s madness They both were trying to do to the right thing or so as they believed by maintaining a distance from each other but it doesn't really help either one of them does it? Elena has been playing the whole I don't want to see you anymore of Damon's speech on a loop so that is enough to highlight how she has been feeling about it. He remembers what happened the last time he let himself get distracted by his own bad decisions. He let impulse and emotion cloud his judgment, and in the process Elena was forcibly removed from her own body. And that is why he is fighting so hard against his killer instincts. It’s all to protect her. To love her and be there for her as she deserves. Just as he has always done. The kiss was just the cherry on the sundae. The culmination of too much doubt and anxiety. Too much separation. They haven’t had to function without each other like this in almost two years. And they aren’t handling it well. Because this isn’t just about love. Or passion. Or desire. It’s about need. He basically rushed her like her lips were the cure for all his problems. Like he could find the answers to life’s deepest questions with just that one touch. They’ve been building to this since the breakup. The wall they’ve attempted to erect between them just isn’t working out like they expected. They can’t cut the cord and go back to living their lives separately. It was all to find a touch of peace in the midst of their current hell. And at this point they only find peace with each other. At the end of the day, no matter how crappy everything seems, their effect on each other, positive or negative, can bring them happiness, safety and contentment in a way nothing else can. For Damon and Elena, it is all about their very particular pull toward each other. A pull that impacts them so strongly it keeps them both from straying too far from the other. So when they try to force it, try to tug on the strings that draw them together, it drives them nuts. I can keep writing analysis on their scenes but it will still not be enough words. The choice of background scene was just perfect...adds all the more meaning and beauty.

I like this mini trip of Elena, Caroline, Stefan and Damon. The jealous and irritated Caroline is very charming. And finally, she is calmly talking to Damon, without judging him or arguing with him.

Same!! I really wish we could have a scene where Caroline would have a conversation with Damon which includes everything she has to say to him. It would have been great if the writers chose to address it directly. Because otherwise whenever we get to see Caroline and Damon interacting it is a fun banter and bickering which seems to look like Caroline doesn't have any issues with him. But it's only with Elena she seems to have a different pov.

@Muhammad Hassan, It doesn't take much effort. I just really enjoy analyzing the scenes in this show mostly delena scenes because of the writing and the acting, there is so much to grasp.

Your so right they were all so slow in today’s episode 😅 I’m so excited for S6 it’s my most favourite season of TVD and these last 2 episodes of S5 are really really good.
