I love this episode it’s definitely a one upper from the previous few episodes. Katherine’s little speech to all of them was so fun to hear. I liked the way Damon called her Kitty Kat and I loved the way she winked at him and yes Stefan killing Katherine was truly poetic. I’m happy he did it instead of Damon. It’s so weird though for the last few episodes she really pissed me off I still felt bad for her here actually more for Nadia she didn’t deserve this. The dream she gave Nadia was so beautiful and heartbreaking 💔 but she won’t go so gently she has to screw things and yet again Elena suffers because of her 🤦🏽‍♀️ Despite of all this il truly miss her I love it when she says it’s been a role of a lifetime kinda saying that playing Katherine has been a role of a lifetime and Nina did enjoy playing her character more then Elena so that makes so much sense. Now I want some Delena time 🤩

2021-07-19 05:07:59 That is the end of Katherine Pierce and as she said she wasn't going to go gentle as true to her character!! I did like the way she walked in to that room and knew exactly how things were going to end for her. But in all this, I felt really bad for Nadia, she ended up paying for something she didn't deserve but at least she went away knowing her mother cared enough to come and see her even if it meant for her to die. I will have to agree that Katherine Pierce has made really some significant changes to a lot of people's lives, not all positive but some did definitely helped them become better for example Caroline. I personally really liked that moment between Damon & Katherine when she says she is sorry. It was actually genuine and she did ruin him to a great extent by stringing him along all those years. But even Damon nods and acknowledges that she did give his life purpose, drive, passion and taught him how to love because he was devoted in his love for her. At this point it is a completely different dynamic between them but I always wanted to see more of their history in S2. Also the fact that Katherine risked things for herself but saved Damon's life. But in this episode this scene is my favourite moment of theirs! It sums up their dynamic. Katherine was such a definitive part of Damon's life. She was his first love and his love for her shaped majority of his actions. As for Katherine, Damon was almost part of her legacy. He was someone that loved her for who she was. He didn't fear or cringe at her truth and that is something significant for any vampire, but particularly for Katherine who spent so long disconnected from humanity and who had never really experienced 'true' love . Back in 1864, I can imagine Katherine taking a lot of her time knowing Damon and therefore, in present times, she always knows how to get under his skin and use his insecurities against him. Stefan killing Katherine was poetic indeed and Katherine dying next to her daughter was really well done. She had her baby snatched away from her just after giving birth and after running all this time she comes back for her daughter is the perfect ending.

I agree, but Katherine positive impact in others life, like Caroline was unintentional and purely accidental, she's never did things to people out of generosity or out of love, with the exception of Nadia, now. And she saved Damon in season two because she owe him, because she recognised that Damon caring for her was a potential asset for her. Even when her humanity was barely surfacing, every single action she made had somehow a return. So yes it is very poetic that is Stefan, the man she could never have, to dagger her after her last deceit.

Loved By You

I truly loved this episode. I I love the irony of having Stefan be the one to dagger her. It’s just so poetic sense it all started with him. Do you know for it to then end with him it’s just really good storytelling. I also think that this is a beautiful episode to see that either good or bad Katherine did have such an impact on every character’s life. I just love how she was her from the beginning to the end (even when she was trying to be Elena Gilbert), her motivation was still very true to who she is. I also think it’s a good episode to show that Catherine is more respected then maybe she even realized. Kind of like you mentioned I do like the fact that everyone was there witnessed her last days. I just love Catherine. I love that when you really need her she comes through. I love that she never tries to be something that she’s not. And I love that, even when she can be the most cynical, selfish, vain version of herself you can still see her heart. RIP and goodbye to Katherine Pierce. It’s truly been the role of a lifetime

For what it’s worth. When she went back she did it because Stefan called her out and she couldn’t bear giving him the satisfaction of judging her like that. Did she want to see her daughter? Maybe,, on her terms, she hates being manipulated, and Stefan did that. I think she wanted to give Nadia a chance to say everything is ok. Then she could just bury that relationship and move on. That’s consistent with her character. . She is a complete pathological narcissist. . I don’t think she expected everyone to be in that room. As soon as she figured out someone was going to knife her she ran. Damon stopped her. She didn’t know she was going to die, she realized that right before her speeches. The last minute ‘I’m better than you’. She does pretty much everything for her own amusement and benefit so I don’t think 500 years of that is redeemable just by calling in the priest, saying 10 Hail Marys, and see you next week. But that’s me being cynical.
