I have to say a certain scene involving Stefan is one I completely forgot about....And it's one of the greatest. So no it's not a Stelena scene, it was a Delena scene, the moment where Stefan expresses that he completely let go of Elena and is happy, truly happy for Elena and Damon. End of the day Stefan is truly the high point of season 5. This little Damon rampage subplot, is the low point lol You would think i would miss good old murderous Damon version, but surprisingly he's just annoying in this......We get what they are doing but just being so annoying. Not to mention if Elena was actually here instead of Katheryn breakup or not she would be kicking his ass for threatening Jeremy. They just spent almost a year or so as a couple before they broke up. Elena would have been like WTF are you doing threatening Jeremy lmao She wouldn't silently stand by and let it happen, it's funny no one caught that...

Even though I was shitting this season before the season started, now after re watching im realising it wasn't that bad...it had few extremely good episodes.....ep 9,ep11, (some future episodes are good too).....and the best part about this season is the Damon and augustine storyline,we learnt s lot about stefan's past, but never really focused on how tragic damon's life has been in the previous seasons..and even though the traveller plot is the main plot, its honestly boring af

Katherine is really cringe worthy from here on wards for me too :( She is impersonating Elena really well in some ways but like she said Matt is helping her with a lot of it. But I still don't understand why people around her are not curious about her body language and how she is so cool with her break-up and everything so soon. Damon hitting the rock bottom is something I actually like in this season because this is actually all about him. Elena is not the reason as to why he is good because he has always had goodness in him but her faith in him and his ability to be a good person helped him find his own faith. Now that has been taken away from him, his darkness is the only thing he is going to rely upon. It is not great but it goes on to show that Damon will always be Damon! He is always going to embrace the light and dark parts of himself no matter what and he only will learn from his situation for the better hopefully. Love is never going to be enough for someone to be changing but it is their will. As we found out the Augustines and Damon's experience, the audience has now had the opportunity to see how the past demons will always be a part of Damon. Also, one has to remember that Damon is not driven by morals but he is driven by love!! He doesn't do good because he is concerned by the right and wrong but he wants to do the right by the people who he loves and cares about. He doesn't have a hero complex or a guilty issue to be good. Stefan this season is my favourite too!! After so many seasons we finally get to see the Brother in Stefan and not anything else. The moment he shares his liking for his brother's good side is precious because you know that he has missed it after all those years of being away from him. So, I hate to say in Katherine's words but I happen to like Elenaless Stefan simply because we get to see the brotherly side more. Caroline I also think that she is starting to have romantic feelings for Stefan slowly and she isn't aware of the changing feelings but she surely doesn't like the growing closeness between Stefan and Katherine as Elena again. But I never thought that Caroline was rooting for Stelena instead it was more always about rooting for Stefan in comparison to Damon.

You were so annoyed during this episode exactly my feelings everytime I watch this. Katherine is really pissing off but I have to admit that scene whr she is filling air into Jeremy’s mouth is so dam hilarious the faces she makes is so so funny 🤣 Katherine is hilarious at times haha. I agree Stefan this season is amazing I absolutely loved him in episode 11 and now here 😭😭 when stefan tells Damon to not come back Damon looked really sad at the back of his mind he doesn’t want his brother to give up on him it’s really sad but also I hated what Damon does this episode specially with Jeremy that’s not cool. I want my old Damon back the person that he became and that’s what stefan is hoping for…

Come on now guys. They absolutely butchered Damons character development. It's beyond annoying and one of the reasons I dislike S5 so much. At this point I'm just waiting for Sofie to react to the season finale lol at least that is going to be epic.

I'm thinking EXACTLY the same thing, way better than what I remembered which is why in my mind it's now considered a better season than season 7 by a small margin...The traveler plot is coming and it's pretty awful though...but altogether the season is honestly still solid and revisiting those first 11 episodes they are heartfelt and absolutely hilarious, maybe THE FUNNIEST in the show

yes alot of fans seem to forget that stefan is over elena and wants his brother more than anything and over anyone. He wants his brother to finally experience true love and stefan now realizes how much delena is there for each other and the strong feelings they have for each other. Stefan is truly the high point of season 5 I agree.

I started to love Stefan once he was all about his brother and not giving up and season 5 is really the reason for that and so on

I think Caroline being "the biggest Stelena shipper" actually just meant that she really wanted Stefan to be happy and thought that's what he had that with Elena. To me, it was never about the relationship itself.

I agree. I always thought Stefan was "meh", too much of a goody two shoes, but his devotion to Damon (who is probably my favorite character in anything ever), really won me over
