Loved your reaction the way you really empathised with Buffy in this episode was amazing. “Innocence” is a highly rated episode and for good reason. Great acting from the cast. Looking forward to the rest of the season as I’m sure you are too!

Best reaction and analysis of this episode I have seen! Yes, it is emotionally exhausting and I like how you thanked Joss even through the tears. The look on your face when you *got* that it was Buffy and Angel having sex that made him turn was priceless. Also, I love how you got that he lost his humanity after they were finished and laying there in happiness and he had whispered that he loved her... it is tragic. And, yes, it is a metaphor for those assholes that change after having sex with someone. You are so astute. I cannot wait to see more of your reactions!!!

Doris

That conversation with Giles & Buffy - it was just so perfect. That's when I saw him as a true father-figure to her.

Raven Dark

Oh. This one. Gulp. I have been waiting for this one, my friend.

Wow. Wow, wow, wow. This reaction was exquisite. It was perfect. Terrible and beautiful to watch all at the same time. It was everything I knew it would be and more. There are reactors who love the show, who react with deep emotion, and that's what we love to see. But then there are reactors that truly "get" the show, and those who get it on the level that you do are rare. The look on your face when you realized why Angel turned into Angelus is why we watch reactions. This is what we live for. The conversation between Giles and Buffy at the end is perfect. And Oz is just so wonderful. The world needs more men like Oz. And Oz, whatever his age as a teen, is not a boy. He's a man. Oh, and also, also... Buffy with a rocket launcher will never get old. David's (Angel's) performance in this episode is fantastic. He doesn't just say horrible things that make it clear Angelus is a different person. He actually changes his whole tone, his speech patterns are more crisp, harsher, and he walks different, taller and more confident. He does such a great job of convincing us that Angel has become someone entirely new. Sofie: *crying* "Thank you, Joss. Thank you for that." Joss: *evil voice* "I'm not done with you yet." Sofie: "Now I see why this season is so highly prized by you guys." Oh. *crazy laugh.* Oh, sweet child. *deadpan stare* You haven't even begun to understand.

Ohh, poor innocent you. You were completely traumatized.... totally unprepared for what's about to unfold. That's Joss for you... giving you everything you wished for, only to then deliver an evil laugh before taking it away again. That's just the first time in this series you're actually getting aware of that. this reaction was perfect. The shock on your face when you realized what triggered Angelus' return was so honest and easy to identify with, I totally felt you there, and I watched that series too many times to mention. Both Sarah and David did such a magnificent job in this episode. So there was that. Things will never be the same again. There is pre 17th birthday and post 17th birthday. Buffy lost her innocent, and not just in the virginity sense. Some hard decisions are ahead, and even worse tragedies. Embrace yourself, girl.

Loved the commentary in the end. You are so insightful!

Keep a box of tissues handy Sofie , because what Joss giveth he also can taketh away .

KT

Thanks for pausing to wipe tears off your face because I had to do the same thing lol

Always remember what the Master said: "Angel, he was the most vicious creature I've ever met".

Agreed, this show is nothing but a roller coaster, and you just hit the first big drop..... Many climbs and drops ahead, of various sizes. I look forward to seeing the reactions.
