When is the next tvd reaction?? Can't wait for the finale and season 3!!

Nathan

I don’t particularly care for or ship Leyton and what they did here was completely wrong. But I do understand how they got caught up in the moment here. To be that young and in love sometimes means that you can’t see beyond your own feelings and I think that’s what happened here. Peyton and Lucas got swept up in that moment and everything around them (mainly Brooke) seemingly didn’t exist. I feel really bad Brooke though. Girl deserves so much better than that.

I hate that this happened. As much as I love Peyton. She is my favorite female character.. Brooke did not deserve this at all. I wish Peyton wouldn’t have had a lapse of judgement. However, they’re all teenagers and everyone makes mistakes. It’ll be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

I'm not trying to defend their actions in any way, but Peyton did just went through a traumatic experience, and she went through it with Lucas. And Peyton said in this episode that she feels like her life is a never-ending dream in which she can't get where she wants to go. So when she found out that her father wasn't dead and that she didn't lose the bracelet, she felt like she was finally awake, because all the bad things that she expected to happen to her didn't happen. So yes, she gave in to the impulse, which is wrong, but just imagine yourself in her situation. And I agree that she doesn't take Brooke and Lucas' relationship seriously, which is completely unreasonable and immature. But maybe she just tries to disregard Brooke's feelings to make herself feel better, which once again, is very wrong, but also human. And she and Brooke aren't exactly close friends, to be honest, they just want to believe that they are, but they don't even know each other or understand each other so well. I blame Lucas more in this case, but then again, I understand why he did it, he obviously wants to be with Peyton. His main mistake was trying to get over her in a relationship with her supposed best friend. Which makes him not a very nice guy right now, you know. While Brooke didn't do anything wrong in her life ;p I mean, she somehow didn't read the situation correctly, but it's not really her fault, and maybe she also wanted to ignore it, but mainly I do believe that she just doesn't get Peyton. Yet she trusts and cares about them both so much. They're just inexperienced kids, desperately seeking for love, all of them. I actually enjoyed the storyline with Dan and his parents more. Who would have thought, heh. I kind of live for people to hate Dan lol But he really is a very complex character. Everything is moving a little slowly so far, but it's more realistic, perhaps, and definitely helps to get to know the characters better. Especially when they make mistakes like Lucas, and when they try to fix them like Nathan. And yes, yes, yes, I so agree that we deserve more scenes with Nathan and Lucas and a deeper relationship between the brothers. Come on, this could have been a lot more interesting and enjoyable to watch than this unnecessary teen drama with Lucas, Peyton and Brooke.

I identify with your conflicted reaction during the Lucas and Peyton scene. I am a really big fan of their relationship, but I really hate that they did this to Brooke. I absolutely understand how it happened though - the overwhelming wave of emotions as teenagers are a lot generally, but especially going through what Peyton just went through and Lucas being the one there for her, yeah, I DO blame them, but I also empathize with the moment they had together if that makes sense. While the Lucas/Peyton drama was expected for me, this Dan revelation totally caught me by surprise. Wow. I really loved that part of the episode and meeting Dan's parents suddenly made a lot of things make sense.
