Man, SMG does those emotional scenes so well, I’ve seen this show hundreds of times, and I still tear up during the scene where she finds out abt the prophecy. Buffy had to go down there with him, she couldn’t stop the master otherwise 😆

Totally agree with the reactions, love them, absolutely the best. About Buffy. IMO the Master did not kill her, Xander said she drowned. The master was using hypnosis on her, which has been how vampires got into houses forever., it weakened her resolve. She could not fight. However, the prophecy never said she would be killed by the master, it said she would die.. inside herself she did. When the master bit her he got a rush of real human (Buffy) blood and he was strong enough to break out; but in his rush he just got a bit of her not enough to kill her. When she came round, she thought of Willow’s friends, her mum being bitten and everyone else that had died plus maybe most importantly he violated her and he’s a filthy monster (sound familiar). So she realized that his attack on her could not kill her, and that he had no power over her unless she let him. Some people would have run away and hid but she’s Buffy so she went after him and killed him. Later in S2 we can see that she realizes her demon has risen again. She could not run away. By now she has tried to alienate her friends, she’s angry. Things are not finished. She prevents his rising again. In the end though she vents on him, smashes him up and when that is done she breaks down. Then she meets Willow and Xander and she tries to make sure that she is still her. That the mAster did not take her away. His violation was gone. IMO it’s a complex ‘r’ analogy. I cannot write that word but you know what I mean. That attack is complex. It leaves damage forever and it’s perpetrated by an evil monster.. you get what I Mean.. The show covered some serious subjects. Teachers Pet was one this is similar That’s my 2 cents

The beginning of the episode is not here. The episode starts before the credits. It shows Xander practicing to ask Buffy out shows Buffy killing a vampire & Giles reading the codec while the earthquake hits also shows the Master. None of that is in your video & by your reactions I am not sure you even saw all that. For me the beginning of this episode is extremely important as it really sets the tone. We have seen it. The question is did you see it?

Yeah Sofie the episode began before the intro credits started, not sure if you watched it but I agree with Pho3nixX, it does set the tone for the whole episode, that's probably why you were a little confused. I really enjoyed your reaction either way though <3

I've just checked with the person that sent me the 4:3 ratio version that I'm watching right now apparently the start of the episode was missing and he didn't notice. I had no idea this is why I was a little bit confused at the beginning of the episode. I'm so sorry guys I'll just have to watch it by myself. Again I"m so sorry.
