I just love the scene where Damon pushes Katherine off of him and then the music "You cant play on broken strings" perfect. Also while I usally dont pay that much attention to how the characters look: Damons eyes in that scene just get to me. And his face when he said "you deserved it" lmao.

What Caroline/Candice King cannot do? She is so awesome; she has a really good voice. This episode is the calm before the storm. So many things have been brewing and some of them are already exploding in their faces. As you mentioned in your comment telling the truth is a very tricky business, but not telling the truth is just as bad if not worse, because you risk lose the trust of the people you lied about and you risk to have the truth distorted by someone that have agendas that are not in your best interest. In this episode they really are addressing this issue. Is it worth lying to people to protect them from an ugly truth or a difficult to explain situation or is it best to be honest from the very beginning? Tricky answer, but the point is, the truth finds its way to come out before or after so you better be prepared should you decide to lie. Now how Elena and Rich are going to recover from the sudden appearance to their door step of a very apparently alive Alaric ex wife/Elena’s mother after they told Jenna she is dead? Does Katherine just wants to help, out of her common goal of killing Klaus, and out of her good heart? How can she be trusted, she seem to be lying all the time and have alter agendas. But she team up with them to kill Dr Martin that’s something! Katherine and Damon it is such a love/hate relationship. She doesn’t love him she says, but shower in his bedroom, she choose him to be killed, but she calls out for Damon help when Luca stubbed her and she is in his bed trying to seduce him and the face of disappointment when he rejected her so brilliantly, is priceless. How much I loved Damon in that moment is hard to describe. She is used to get what she wants, having men worshipping at her altar and Damon blatant rejection didn’t go down well. Katherine 2000 - Damon 1, at list he scored one!! Damon is over her, but still he does remember her feeling for her and I guess when you loved someone that much, that love never really goes away entirely, and it’s not a bad thing, it means that even though that person doesn’t deserve you, you are gracious enough to allow yourself to a better person. Damon is allowing himself to care. Thank you Sofie for posting this, thank you so much, your reactions are always so brilliant! Have a great night sleep.

To the whole Jenna situation. I am 99.9% of the time in the side of the truth (probably the only time I wasnt was when Damon erases Elenas memory in 2x8 that was just selfless of Damon and beautiful), If you ask me its neither Ricks nor Elenas choice, Jenna has a right to know everything. She got injured because of it for crying out loud, I really hate how they kept her in the dark, she should have known monthes ago. Knowing will not put her anymore at risk than she already is and yes, she might be shocked but she still has a right to know. Plus they literally have compulsion available so if its truly to much for her they could just offer to make her forget.

Why are vampires still so difficult to distinguish between Elena and Katherine? When a vampire is hungry, it can lose control just by being near a human (as was the case with Stefan and Elena in season 1). This means that they can feel human blood even if they are not injured. Vampires don't drink each other's blood (at least not for food). I read the explanation that the Salvatores didn't recognize Katherine because she was using Elena's clothes and so there was her smell. But what about the blood? I understand that when Katherine first appeared, no one expected this, so it could have been mixed up. But what about now? Damon knew for a fact That both Katherine and Elena were in the house. But he still doubted who was in front of him when Stefan entered the room. Can't they tell if the person in front of them is a human or a vampire? How does it work? Did I miss something?

I like the look on Damon's face when he explained to Elena what Katherine was doing in their house. A mixture of doom and disgust. I don't know if it was fake, but it was funny. And then, when Elena talked to Katherine after she killed Dr. Martin, the look on Damon's face behind Elena's back was pretty telling, too. Katherine was so surprised at the end that Damon didn't give in to her. I wonder what she was counting on.Did she just say that she would kill Damon for Stefan, and then lay in his bed and think that he would welcome her with open arms? He certainly loved her (perhaps he still has some feelings for her), but there must be boundaries. Damon is no longer that pliable and lovesick young man, and he should have some pride. But Katherine's disappointment was overwhelming. I even gloated. At least she didn't get something at the snap of her fingers.

Incredibly sorry for Luka. And his death is clearly the fault of Dr. Matrin. And not even because he decided to resurrect Elijah, and not because he sent Luca there, but because he ordered Katherine to be killed. In a house with 3 vampires. It was enough to wait until Katherine left and then finish their work, not force her son to fight a vampire. But I'm glad he gave Bonnie her powers back. It was sad to watch Jenna and Alaric. I love both of them. I can understand each of them. Difficult choice between true and false. Of course, the truth is good. But it can be so difficult to explain everything correctly and clearly. Especially when it comes to such supernatural things. And Alaric hadn't lied to Jenna. Isobel did die, and there are indeed some details about her death that are difficult to explain. So Caroline told Matt everything and how did It end? He didn't get it right. You also need to be able to present the truth correctly and in a timely manner. Sofie, I'm glad you've solved your technical problems. I wish you a good night's sleep. Thank you for the great reaction. See you soon.

I agree, if they got her in all the secrets at the beginng, the lies and the secrets would have piled up at the level they are now.

Futuristic Girl

My favorite part of this episode was Katherine and Damon being snide towards each other. It was funny. Katherine betraying Emily didn't surprise me because they weren't really friends, and Emily was a loose end. Emily is a witch and witches usually don't like vampires.

Futuristic Girl

I love the scene where Katherine pretending to be Elena. She had both brothers confused. Lol.

Futuristic Girl

The only thing that Elena and Katherine resemble in one another is looks and taste in men. I wouldn't expect them to act alike because they're doppelgangers. That would take the fun out of it and they have lived completely different lives.

Futuristic Girl

I actually would've liked more backstory into the Martin witches. I liked them.

Futuristic Girl

It's just funny to me that they were trying to go up against an enemy that they had never seen before. Like be realistic you guys. They daggered the only other person who knew and were weary of taking Katherine's help. Even if they didn't trust her, she has valuable info.

Futuristic Girl

They have control over their thirst now. They aren't noticeably starved. Pretending to be human is something Katherine's had to do for long time so I feel like she can conceal her vampiric characteristics enough to fool them. They are doppelgangers after all.

I Am Not Chamari

It really sucks what happened with Luka and Jonas. Jonas is technically at fault for Luka, but I don't really blame him for Luka's death. I don't think he could have told her to kill Katherine, but that was the easiest solution at the time. All Jonas wanted was his daughter back, and he thought by siding with a powerful Original, that would be the key to survival. It's really unfortunate and I actually wish we learned a lot more about them. I'm glad Jonas gave Bonnie's powers back - because maybe, just maybe, his daughter might still survive Klaus.
