Well, this highlights how stupid I am. I was not thinking metaphor! I was thinking scary monster eats virgins, the science teacher was a virgin huh... First off brilliant, fun reaction. Of course I loved it and I might watch it again, I know I missed some stuff. Thanks! I was about to go into Buffy withdrawals. Anyhow metaphor, I looked it up... and it was on the news recently. You better sit down. 1997 this teacher Mary Letourneau plead guilty to two counts of rape of a 13 y/o student. While waiting for sentencing she gave birth to the boy’s child. A daughter. She was sentenced to 6 months and no contact other the boy for life. Then police found her in a car with the same boy who was 14 now. So they sent her to prison for 7 years. 8 months after going back to prison she had his second child!! She was released in 2004. In 2005 she and the boy were married. She died this year of colon cancer at 58, there is a really bad taste joke there... WTH. I mean all of it. 2 kids from a 14 y/o, 7 months in prison, then getting married after another 7 years prison. What!! . I am speechless. So the reaction was better than good, I wish I didn’t look stuff up, I wish Xander would open his eyes and look at Willow, They should rename Giles ‘slow Google’. Buffy is awesome!

You got the zest of the show, Brilliant!! Yes this show is huge still, won tons of very prestigious awards and it is THE show to which every writer of the genre will be compare to. I don't know a person that didn't like this show. It is true the first season is not as good as the rest of it, but it's fun anyway, isn't it? And it's a window on an era pre mobile phone....😱😂

Pike isn't in the show because the movie isn't necessarily a prequel. The show is just based off it, not necessarily a continuation. Honestly would say the movie is more of a parody, but that's just my opinion. The vampires are different in the movie, and the story/universe doesn't really match up. When the movie botched and got horrible ratings, they only took ideas from that story they wanted to include in the show (Buffy and other Joss Whedon ideas) and expanded with a better storyline/new characters. She also didn't burn the gym down in the movie, that's just how Joss Whedon wanted the movie to end so they referenced it in the first episode. I think that future episodes will give you a more accurate representation of her past and how this all started. This show is very much mythological so all with be revealed in due time.
