Turns out that 17.4 is two days late.
Sorry again, and thank you all for your kindness and understanding <3

Since this is essentially the end of an arc I'd been planning on doing a Q&A anyway, and having a bit of extra time to get back on top of things will be great :)

So please ask any questions in the comments for the Q&A! I think last Q&A I asked for character questions only, but now that there's been some actual worldbuilding in the comic I am very happy to answer setting/worldbuilding questions as well :)

Thank you for reading!

(Are those colours in the final few panels getting a bit too burn-your-eyes-out-bright? They looked fine on my tablet when I drew them but maybe too bright on my computer screen and I should mute them a bit?)

Augh, this was hearthbreaking and beautiful. Tess has probably kept this bottled up and hidden for long enough she's stopped to notice it. Mira is such a gift for her

This is my second comment on this post, but: I skimmed again through all chapters until now to refresh my memory a little, and once again I was on the verge of tears with this arc. It's really, really well done, and it feels so much more subtle and detailed that most fantasy racism/discrimination (which tend to *have inherent danger for some race* which is always muddy at best since it """justifies""" stuff - and I love how you tackle that trope here). And all its discussion about representing other people and being allowed anger, and Mira's moment of realization that she forgot to focus on how Tess was feeling... and once again how it all ties back to the first chapter about being perceived. All this is very real and raw and, and, thank you, again and again and again for the care you put in your stories.
