Sorry again for missing yesterday's update, the flu has not been gentle with me, and has been lingering like a menace.

November plans

I'm still a smidge sick, and still very busy, so I'm not certain how November will go. There will be some updates, definitely. Can I manage weekly? Almost certainly not.

If you want to change your pledge I fully understand :)

(I've been considering putting patreon on hold for a month, but I should have plenty of stuff to share during November, it's just that the Always Human page files will need to take priority over 7DS until I've got everything done. External deadlines, the bane of my existence.)


Regarding the updates for webtoon canvas - I think this will continue weekly for now? 

For the early access tier I've promised updates at least 8 weeks ahead, and we're still significantly ahead of that. So unless I fall much further behind, I'd like to keep updates going on webtoon canvas for now.

(This is mostly because I've been told that video ad revenue is really good in November/December, because of Christmas, so I want to make the most of that. If I find I need to take a break from public posting I'd prefer to do so in January.)

Technically the Q&A should go up next on webtoon canvas, but I'd like to take a few more questions before posting it, and I do not have the time for that now, so I'm thinking I might move the Q&A to the end of chapter 10 instead?


Plans for December onwards
As soon as the Always Human book stuff is finished I should be able to get back to weekly updates here, and I'm also hoping to hire an assistant to help with 7DS so I don't fall behind again, and can hopefully even get ahead.

Thanks to your support, 7DS is in a financial position where I can look for an art assistant (thank you all! so very much!!) but unfortunately finding an assistant will take time that I don't have right now. Alas. So that will have to wait a bit longer.

Please don't stress yourself trying to achieve a weekly schedule. We're supporting you to help you create your best work, not to burden you with expectations. Adjust your schedule, take time out, just do what's best for you and your creativity. Hope the AH book 2 work is done soon - this appears to be weighing on you a bit. An assistant! Wow, a new challenge for 2023 - ever had one before?

Thank you very much, I appreciate it :) I'm hoping the AH book 2 stuff will be done by mid-November? But we'll see, the publisher hasn't yet sent me all the files I'll need to work on, so who's to say ^^; For book 1 there were a few all nighters (including all nighters on the publisher's side too, they were emailing me at 2am their time!), but I'm really hoping to avoid that for book 2. I'm too old to stay up all night :P I had an assistant for 1 week during Aerial Magic. A twitter mutual was looking for art-related work, and I'd been considering hiring a flatter, so I reached out - but then after 1 week their job situation changed so they no longer had the time, and the process of finding a new flatter seemed very daunting, so I didn't ^^;

Thanks for the look behind the scenes! I'll echo what others said: Take care of yourself, and please don't stress over updates. If you feel you need to adjust something about the reward tiers (e.g. timeframe of the advance updates here), discuss it when you have the time and energy, not when there are external deadlines and health problems. We're here to support you.
