Rescue from the Blueberry Town.

Christen crossed her arms as she walked down the street.

“I hope those two are alright.” She sighed as the warm breeze caused her to shiver. “I told them not to go anywhere near that juicing station, but I don’t think they listened to me. No one does these days.”

She stopped at the end of the street. “The town has been going nuts over this blueberry crisis, and they prefer to go to that stupid place where that Red guy can make money off of them and help turn them back into blueberries. It just isn’t right. And now he has his sights set on people from out of town?” Christen turned around and looked in the direction of the juicing station. “I know I should do something but what?”

A young kid ran up to her and handed Christen a bottle of blue liquid. “Here you are, miss.”

Christen looked at him in confusion. “What is this for?”

“It’s a gift from the juicing station manager guy. Red or something. He is paying me big bucks to hand these out to random strangers as part of some celebration milestone.” He spun around. “Isn’t it great? I am going to be rich for just handing out stupid jars of blueberry juice.”

“What?”

The boy laughed and gave her a dirty look. “Hey, lady, relax. It’s nothing but harmless blueberry juice.” He took some out of the jar and forced it down her mouth.

“See.” Christin spat it out. “Now, just relax.” The kid rushed down the street. “Now I have to give more of this stuff away. I am going to be rich now. You hear me, rich.”

Christin wiped her face clean. “That is it. I need to find a way to shut that juicing station down. That fool Red can’t just start turning the town into blueberries on good faith.”

She clenched her hands into fists and stomped down the sidewalk towards the juicing station. “Besides, I am still pissed that when I went there, I didn’t get to keep any of the juice that they took out of me. And I don’t know what they did, but the next day I turned into a blueberry again. They didn’t cure me at all; they just made it so when I did turn into a blueberry again, I would swell up even larger.” She snorted. “I think that Red jerk knows that so he can squeeze more and more juice out of this town.”

The juicing station came into view, and Christen took a deep breath. “Ok. I just go in and find those two, Tess and Carien. I also find a way to stop Red.” She pushed the double doors open and knocked one of the assistants in a blueberry outfit onto her ass. “How I will stop Red, I don’t know.”

The lady she had knocked to the ground shook her head and stood up. “Hey.

Lady stop.” She rushed forward and grabbed Christen’s arm. “Can you please tell me what you want?”

Christen pulled away. “I have to find my friends. They came in here about an hour ago, and I want to know that they are alright.”

“I am sorry, but people who are in our blueberry treatment centers need all the privacy possible. It is for the optimal berry extraction process. You are free to wait in our waiting room across the street.”

Christen pushed the woman in a cheap blueberry outfit away. “Stop it with this nonsense. I know what really goes on here.” She rushed down the hallway. “Tess!

Carien! Where are you two?”

The lady shook her head and rose to her feet. “Security. We have an issue.”

Christen rushed down the hallway, checking each room. “Tess?” She looked at the giant blueberries inside. “Carien? Is that you?”

The lady inside slammed her hand on her bloated body. “I am Beth. Get out, you creep.”

Christen shook her head. “Whatever.” She went down to the next room. “Hello?

Tess?” The room was empty, only a blue stain on the floor. “Nope.” She continued onward. “Anyone in here?”

A woman sat in the corner, her skin blue. “Are you Tess or Carien?”

“Get out!”

“Umm. . .”

The lady turned around. “Can’t you people just leave me alone? Isn’t it bad enough you turned Tess into a giant blueberry, and now you are trying to. . .” She blinked her eyes. “Christen?”

Christen rushed into the room. “Carien. It’s you. I found you. Are you alright?”

Carien ran her hands over her body. “Do I look alright? My body is blue, and I am starting to feel weird.” She blinked her eyes. “What are you doing here?”

Christen took Carien’s hand. “I am getting you and Tess out of here. Where is Tess?”

“Deeper in this nut house. They threw me in here after I confronted Red.”

“Figures. Well, let’s go find her and get her out.”

Carien shook her head. “But I will just slow you down. How long until that blueberry shit they put into my system turns me into a blueberry?”

Christen sighed. “You can’t stay here. Do you just want to be drained and turned into a blueberry over and over again?”

Carien shook her head. “No. Of course not.” She sighed. “But if I start to swell up, do not get me trapped in a small room.” They rushed out of the door and back into the hallway. “I can deal with growing to the size of a skyscraper, but I won’t be a giant blueberry in a small room. That just will not stand.”

Christen raised an eyebrow. “Growing to the size of a skyscraper? What are you talking about?”

Carien’s cheeks turned purple. “Oh, umm. We can talk about that when we get out of this mess. But, first, let’s find Tess.”

“Rightttt.” Christen shook her head.  Things keep getting weirder and weirder in my life.

The two ladies came to a massive steel door.

“Ok, what now?” Christen looked at the words “Juicing Room” and smiled. “I think we might find our friend on the other side of the door here.” She ran her fingers along the door. “We just have to get inside.”

The steel barrier suddenly opened, and a young man blinked his green eyes. “What are you two going here?”

Carien gulped and threw her arm around Christen. “She is taking me to the pump so I can get the juice out of my body.”

The man crossed his arms as blueberry juice dripped off his white lab coat. “But you haven’t even started to swell yet. So why are you not in your room?”

Christen smacked the guy in the forehead, and he fell to the ground. “That is enough out of you.” She shook her hand. “Oww. That hurt more than I thought it would. Fuck.”

Carien threw her hands up. “What did you do? We can’t just leave him here?”

Christen grabbed the young man by the legs and dragged him into the cold dark juicing room. “We couldn’t just let him run off and tell people we were here now, could we. Now help me.”

Carien sighed. “Fine.” She grabbed the man’s arms. “I don’t remember this place.”

“I do. I have been in here before.” Christen grunted. “There should be a closet over here. We can dump him in there. Then we can go to the lower levels and check the pump rooms.” They dragged the man across the room and over to a hole in the wall. “Here.”

Carien raised an eyebrow. “This isn’t anything.”

Christen threw the door open to reveal multiple white lab coats stained with blueberry juice. “Just toss him inside.” Carien did as she was told, and the two ladies threw the groaning man into the closest. “There.” Christen shut the door. “Now, let’s go find Tess.”

Carien rubbed her belly. “Good. Let’s hurry as I don’t think I have too much time.”

“Hold it in for as long as you can.”

“Excuse me?”

“We need to get out of here, and you can’t just turn into a blueberry in this place. They will take you like they did your friend.”

Carien groaned as she watched her stomach slowly expand. “Tell that to my body then.”

Christin grabbed Carien by the arm. “Let’s just hurry up and find Tess already.” They rushed down the sleek corridors, the floors stained with blueberry juice.

“You seem to know your way around down here.”

“Kind of. I thought this place could help me. I was one of the first people to turn into a blueberry.”

Carien’s eyes widened in shock. “What?”

“Yep. I was over at a friend’s party or something when one of those damn blueberry fly things bit me.”

“Blueberry flies? That doesn’t exactly sound pleasant? Why were we not warned about this when we came into town?”

Christen pushed another door open. “Because the town doesn’t believe that they are actually out there. Despite one of our news reporters being attacked by one on live television and turning into a blueberry for it. Poor girl exploded on the news.”

“Exploded?”

Christen nodded her head. “Yep. You can pop if you have too much pressure in your body. I came close once. It is why I was desperate enough to come here when my body kept inflating like a blue balloon.”

Carien rubbed her swollen stomach. “That doesn’t sound very swell.”

Christen turned around. “Hey, don’t worry. I won’t let that happen to you. But first, we need to find your friend. Ok.” Carien smiled. “Good. Now let’s check this last room.” They hurried towards the last door. When they flung the doors open, Carien gasped. Inside sat Tess on the floor, her body hooked up to a massive machine, and blueberry juice covered the entire room. Tess’s body was a dark violet color, and she looked to be in a trance as she slowly shrank downward and the juice was pumped out of her body.

“Christen, we have to get her out of here.”

Tess blinked her eyes open. “Who’s there?” She groaned. “Ohhh….” She put her arms on her round blueberry body. “I am still pretty big? But I am no longer circular, at least. The pumping looks to be almost done finally.” Tess took a deep breath. “How long have I been out?”

Carien rushed up. “Tess, we have to get you out of here.”

Tess looked down at Carien as more juice was pumped out of Tess’s body. “Carien?

Hey, there, honey.”

“Honey? You never called me that before. Tess, are you alright?”

Christen rushed up. “It’s the juicing machine. It affects your state of mind. Now help me get her unhooked.”

Carien shook her head. “But she doesn’t have all of the juice out of her.”

Tess giggled. “Ya. I have to fill that cylinder.” She pointed at a drum almost thirty feet tall. “Need to fill it up to the top, they said, so I can be cured.”

Christen rubbed her eyes. “No, you don’t. There are other ways to help you. Now let’s get you unhooked.”

Carien scratched at the back of her head. “Wait, where does this tube lead?”

Christen pointed at Tess’s groin. “That is where they plug it in at. Do you want to pull it out, or shall I?”

Carien took a few steps back and waved her arms. “Wait, what the fuck. Why do they stick that thing in down there?”

Christen sighed as she bent over and removed the tub from Tess’s body. “It’s because it activates the pleasure center’s in the body.” She shook her hands as blueberry juice shot out of Tess. “Ughhh. God.”

Tess blinked her eyes open. “What is going on? Where am I?”

Carien rushed up and grabbed her friend by the shoulder. “You are in the middle of a horrible, horrible place. We are here to get you out.”

“Carien?” Tess wobbled back and forth. “My feet can finally touch the ground again. Did the juicing process work?” She looked at Christen. “Why are you holding that tube covered in blueberry juice?”

Carien snorted. “Tess, that thing was just….”

Christen put dropped the tube and put her hand on Carien’s shoulder. “Best not to tell Tess.” Christen smiled. “We came to get you out of here.”

“Get me out of here? Why? I thought that this place was curing me.”

Carien grabbed her friend by the shoulders. “Tess, this place is a trap. It will keep you as a giant blueberry forever so they can extract juice from our bodies over and over.”

Tess looked at Carien’s expanding stomach. “Oh, my goodness. Carien. It’s happening to you too. We need to get you to one of those special rooms before they take you to the juicing machine.”

Carien slapped herself. “What did I just say.”

Tess raised an eyebrow. “What you said is crazy. Besides, I am not exactly happy.” She ran her hands alongside her body. “You stopped the process before they could get all of the juice out of my body. I look like a blue pear.”

Christen slammed her foot onto the ground. “Can you two stop fighting right now?” They both looked at her. “We have to focus on getting out of here before someone finds us.”

Tess crossed her swollen arms. “But I never said I wanted to get out of here. I am not convinced that I should yet.”

Christen narrowed her eyes. “Carien. Help escort your friend towards the last room we just passed.”

“Why?” Carien scratched at her swollen side. “We should focus on getting out of here, not taking detours.”

Christen pushed on Tess’s back and forced her to the edge of the room. “If Tess wants proof, we are going to give it to her. Now come on.”

Carien waddled forward and helped Christen push Tess out of the room, all the while Tess tried to twist and slam against the two girls. “Hey, I wasn’t finished in there. Take me back.”

Carien rolled her eyes. “Just hold on, Tess. Everything will be clear in a few moments.”

When they came to a closed-door, they had passed before Christen held up her hand. “Ok, wait here.” She rushed around Tess and yanked the doors open. “Now, Tess, look inside.”

On the other side sat a young lady strapped to one of the juicing machines. But instead of shrinking, the lady increased in size as she squealed, “Oh yess.”

Tess took a few steps forward, and her jaw dropped. “I can’t believe it. They told me that this place was supposed to help me turn back from being a blueberry. That silo isn’t even close to half full in there, and she is getting bigger?” Tess took a deep breath. “This is a nightmare. I can’t stay here. I will be a blueberry forever. Oh god. I can feel the juice inside me starting to surge again. Carien, get me out of here.”

Christen shut the doors and turned around. “Hey, it will be alright. Now let’s just focus on getting out of here, ok.”

Carien took a deep breath. “How will we get out before I turn into a giant blueberry, though?”

They hurried up the hallways. “We just have to try,” Christen said. “Unless you want to be trapped here forever.”

They rushed out of the sleek juicing corridors and back into the cool bright lobby. The lady in the blueberry outfit immediately spotted them. “Hey. What do you think you are doing? You shouldn’t be back there?”

Christen laughed. “Sorry. We were lost.”

She pulled out a phone from within her outfit. “I found them. They are by the juicing area. Send a security team.”

Christen grabbed Tess and Carien’s arms and pulled them down the hallway. “Come on.

The exit is close by.”

Carien took a deep breath. “Slow down. My legs are shrinking, and it’s getting hard for me to walk.”

Tess nodded her head. “Ya. My body is starting to expand again. You should have waited for that juicing process to somewhat finish, at least.”

“Will you two stop complaining until we are out of here?” Christen gulped as she noticed half a dozen burly figures now blocking the only exit to the building. “Oh shit.” She tried to slow down, but it was too late. The momentum of the two giant blue figures behind her sent Christen barreling down the hallway and the figures in dark blue outfits. They exchanged glances as she tried in vain to stop. “Get out of the way.” Christen waved her hands. “For god’s sakes.”

The goons stood their ground and paid the price as Christen, and the others rammed into them, the force of Carien and Tess knocking the goons onto their backs. Christen groaned and pushed her way to her feet. “Ugh, I feel like I was hit by a truck.” She wiped blueberry juice off of her body. “Gross. Why do I always have to have this shit covered all over me?”

“Hey, help us?” Christen looked around to see Carien and Tess. Carien’s torso looked like she had eaten a giant donut, and Tess didn’t look much better.

Christen sighed. “Can you two stop filling up with juice until we get out of here?”

Carien narrowed an eye. “It isn’t my fault.”

Christen ran around to the back of them and pushed. “I hope I can get you two far enough away before you get too big. Gawhh.” She propped Carien onto her feet.

“Good?”

“Yep.”

Christen then did the same thing for Tess. “Ok. Now let’s get out of here.” She looked down and noticed blue spots appearing on her hand. “Oh, great. What a great time for this to happen.”

“What was that?” Carien asked?

“Ya,” Tess said as she stepped over the goons and out the door.

Christen slid her hands into her pockets. “Oh, nothing. Let’s get moving.” They rushed out the door and into the streets. “Come on. We can stay at my place until this all blows over.”

Tess shook her head. “Oh no. I want nothing to do with this town. We are leaving.”

Carien nodded her head. “I am with Tess on this one. Drive us out of blueberry vill Christen.”

Christin sighed as she watched her arm turn blue. “I think it would be better if we just stayed at my house.”

They screamed in unison. “No, we are getting out of here.”

Christen nodded her head. “Fine. I will find a way for us to get out of here.” She spotted a pickup truck at the other end of the street. “There. Come on.” Christen flung the door open.

“Get on the back.” She smiled. “I can’t believe my luck. Some fool left the keys in here.”

Carien groaned. “Tess, you need to lose some weight.” She pushed her friend onto the back of the vehicle.

“Me? I think you are bigger than me right now, you blueberry.” Tess pulled Carien onto the truck. “So, watch what you say.”

“Will you two stop bickering?” Christen held her hand over her chest as she felt the pressure in her own body start to build.  If I have to babysit these two for much longer, it’s going to make the juice in my body swell out of control, and then no one is going to win.

“Hey, what do you think you are doing?” Christen turned her head to see Red rushing out of the Juicing Station. “That is my truck.” He narrowed his eyes at Christen. “You!

Get out of my vehicle now.”

She started the engine. “Sorry. But I have.” Christen took her phone out of her pocket. “But I do want to take a picture of this moment. So, I can remember it tomorrow.” She flipped the engine on. “Ok, let’s get out of here.”

The truck groaned as it began to inch forward. “Come on, baby. Move.” Christen slammed her hand onto the wheel. “Move!” She looked into the rear-view windows. “Danmit, you two are too heavy.”

Carien narrowed her eyes. “It isn’t our fault.”

Christen slammed her foot onto the gas pedal, and the vehicle jutted down the road. “This is going to be a bumpy ride.” She peered into the rear-view mirror once more to see her face turning blue. “Just need to reach the outskirts of town, and we should be good.”

“Get back here with my vehicle.”

Christen looked out the window as Red faded from view. “Sorry. Will have to owe you one.”

“You blue tramp.”

She laughed. “Well, that is one way to stick it to that jerk.” She put her hand over her chest as she felt juice bubble up inside her. “Just a little further.”

They passed the edge of town just as Christen’s belt began to tighten. “Ugh.”

She gripped the wheel. “Ok. We should be safe now.” She looked back to see Carien and Tess and turned back into giant blueberries in the back. “Oh well. At least we are not in that crazy town anymore.” Christen held her hand over her mouth as she felt the pressure inside her body rising. “I need to pull off. The pressure is really becoming intense.”

Christen drove the truck into the woods and shut off the engine. “Ok. Time to get out of here. Ugh.” Her belt snapped off her body as she quickly swelled with juice. “It is happening so quickly.” She pressed on the sides of her body. “I feel so full.” She began to fill the front seats of the truck as she tried to slip out of the vehicle. “I need to get out.”

Thanks to the blueberry sweat dripping off her body, she slipped out of the truck and onto the grass. “Hugh.” She took a deep breath as her massive chest expanded outward, ripping apart her shirt and pants. “I liked these clothes.”

“What is going on up there?” Carien asked.

Christen sighed. “Nothing. We are just going to be stuck here for a while.” Her body began to look more like a spherical blueberry as it pushed the truck away. “So, get a good long rest.”

Tess groaned. “How could you turn into a blueberry yourself. You were supposed to be rescuing us.”

Christen rolled her eyes. “We got out of the town. Now just relax. If you just relax, the juices inside your bodies will go down.” Christen took a deep breath.  With these two around, I hope I don’t pop.
