15 - The Self Resignation (Patreon)

Bambi woke up. The dream vanished. The forest, Thumper, the beautiful sky, all leaved to exist. Again, he was around Cheshire, Mune, Slade, Orange Cat and The Shadow on an empty room but now colorized.

- Hey, look at you. - Said Slade. - You in fact changed.
- Like my dream. - Bambi said. - Yes. Now I am full of life. I recovered what I lost.
- You never lost anything. - Cheshire smiled the deer.- Just you had fear to lose more than you already lost. But no, you only needed trust in yourself and liberate of the past.
- Yes... and thinking seriously... that was not my past. - Bambi said with grim voice.
- Exactly. - Cheshire replied him. - That was an idea somebody put in your soul. Now tell us, did you remember something was not right in your dream?

The deer started to think, focusing on small details, strange things. Everything looked right...

- Yes! - Bambi screamed.- Yes of course! - He opened his eyes.- Somebody called for help. I thought he was Ronno.
- But he wasn´t in your dream.
- Yes... you are right. But he was somebody young, like me. But I couldn´t see him, he was on fire. He was suffering.
- Who could be? - Mune asked. - I checked all the dream and nobody was behind.
- Maybe yes. - Bambi replied him. He closed his eyes. And then he answered but his voice sounded distant. - I remember heard a small ringing bell on the light.

Cheshire laughed so hard and looked like a crazy to his teammates.

- We found it!
- Wait... What? - Mune looked the evil cat a bit worried, he tought he lost his mind. - Did you know where it comes that bell?
- Yes, now I understand what is happening. But it will not be easy. We must find two... relatives. We must continue with our travel.
- Those are great news! Bambi, you should come with us...

When Mune looked to Bambi he was not there anymore. All was outside, and the door, locked forever.

- What happened to him? - Asked Slade.
- He is finally resting. - The Shadow responded. - He is not here. Not  anymore. Bambi is traveling on his forest with his best friend on the eternal fields of Heaven.
- So his dream was actually...
- Yes, it become into true.
- I´m glad everything ended great for him.- Mune said very happy, even a small tear dropped to his check. - So, what now?
- The quest is not over yet - Cheshire responded.- I can feel my... relatives are confused and I will need at least one of they for finish the job.
- So let´s move out!

And everybody started to walk again but the Shadow stopped everybody.

- This time is in the opposite direction.
- Why? - Replied Slade.
- On that direction is the Valley of Gehenna, and we are going to the Gates of the Cross of the South.

Nobody said anything. They followed the Shadow to the next room walking for other corridors they don´t remember passed before...
