Something a little different than a comic this month! I felt like making a proper sheet for how the Nandroids are structured.

Obviously I'm no expert on robotics, and know very little about how their built. I felt like trying to approach these robots from a realistic and logical standpoint, would open up a lot of unnecessary questions into the practicality of how they work. So I decided just to be tongue-in-cheek with it for now!

I might make more of these in the future, it's pretty fun!

…oh my god it’s Blue Blood like from Detroit Become Human, it’s robot blood 🤯😱

Dr. Rodin

Now it makes me wonder if this is one of Sterling’s most important tech/patents besides their CPU work. Emmy says she’s a couple years old since she’s been assigned to the Delaires. Does this lubricant and/or system itself have to be changed? I’d assume repairs are mostly footed by the company, but is it simply a change of lubricant/goop that’s no different price wise of a car oil change OR is it a whole system that have to relubed (ew) or retuned that has to be somewhat paid by the owners cuz it’s such a costly operation? 🤔

That frontal lobe thingy is interesting. O.o

Jonah Krompart

I love how the schematics are labeled like the guy who designed them forgot what the parts do exactly. “Hmm yes the lobe is made out of lobe, which is right above and in front of the microchip thingy”

GekkoV

I love this! Its a ton of fun to see what makes the nandroids tick, so to speak

Cobbly

Robot goop probably keeps the skin looking human like, lubricates sytems, and possibly carries an electric charge.

Wow dom these are fantastic! Really makes the Nandroids a whole lot more probable!

Fantastic to see a more in-depth view of how our favourite nandroids are built. One question though; does this show the tongue is segmented? Or is that just to show depth in the side view?

This is awesome dude! Magnificent work as always lad! 👌

There has been intense debate in some circles revolving around just how Nandroid feet work. And today, I am vindicated.

Alan-Michael White

The tongue makes a lot of sense, rather than using a vocoder, just simulating the voice box in its totality

Woah this is heavy duty.

emmytherobot

I’ve heard there’s a lot of debate among some people haha. But that’s how I figured they work. Just in case they need to crouch.

While I do love the hell out of this, you know some people are going to use this to make their...certain kind of fanart more on-model.

Oh nice! I love lore stuff like that, hope to see more!

This is fascinating. I thought they had super strength plastic for their skin but I guess I was wrong

Dr. Rodin

This might’ve been a working copy when the engineers were coming up with actual names of the features/parts of the nandroids, as if there is an official finalized/master version of this out there…with the signed name of the main designer(s) who designed them.

Dr. Rodin

The one thing from the lore of this story I DONT want to know 😐

Dr. Rodin

It prolly works alongside with the tough point/nerve-like system throughout their body for the nandroid to feel ALMOST like a human in order to interact better with a child ward (got to be able to tenderly touch/handle a child without hurting their hands or something).
