OLD EMMY

Before Cellini started this as a full web-comic series, he released character sketches and one-off comics. And being one of the lucky ones to see those, I am now the master of such forbidden lore!

Hope Emmy NEVER reads about Planned Obsolescence! Also, love that Madeline has so much empathy for Emmy and the other robots. It's until we get older and society 'forms' us, that most lose that empathy (and all it entails). As always, amazing comic!

Oh my gosh, are those in an archive? :^o

"Broken [people] are left to wander without purpose once they are unable to do their jobs. Some turn to crime even!" I tell you, there's a dark sci world inches below the surface of this wholesome family tale, a dusty mirror reflecting our own world.

Such a beautiful story. A machine revealing the warm heart of a human, living between humans whose heart was replaced by a cold machine. Exactly as the bourgeoisie "respectability" of the victorian age was just a facade hiding social abuses and corruption, the world of Emmy might reveal its dark side very soon. Go Emmy, go!

"Emmy, why are you an Uncle Tom-Droid"

Just go to his instagram and scroll down for a wee bit, or with a bit of searching I have no doubts you could find them online elsewhere if you don't have an instagram account.

Emmy should research on how technological progress works. She is going to be an obsolete model sooner or later.
