A while back, for fun, I made some other robotics companies that Sterling competes with. Each one has their own specialities, and some are more niche than others. Some, like General Robotics and Murdoc, are American, GR being the oldest one still in operation. LCP and Atlas are from the UK. Sterling is a Swiss/American hybrid, with headquarters in Zurich and Beacon City. Yamamoto and Tokuyama are Japanese of course. Volkman is German, one of Sterling's closest competitors. Sirius is based in Belgium of all places.

So there's a little world building for you! I just like making Saul Bass-style retro logos!

Which one is the cheap shit for the plebs that's way more customizable than the expensive ones?

Very nice thank you

Bronze-Gear

So they all make robots then? besides the Nandroids and the obvious idea of combat models what are the big sellers?

I think General Robotics went through a lull where they had some real duds. They can be a bit inconsistent since they’re also one of the most comprehensive manufacturers. Sirius has also made some terrible errors in the past. However, there are numerous cheaper and sketchy brands from countries with lower standards.

Murdoc 100% makes military droids don't they. One of those is definitely a sex droid manufacturer, probably tokuyama or Sirius. I imagine someone makes AI computer programs without giving them bodies, ready to be uploaded into any spaceship or smart house you want. One makes robots exclusively for the industrial sector. And one is an ordinary tech company that makes appliences that don't talk.

You'd be surprised what you can do with sketchy parts. I've made several neat machine with rainsoaked tossed out PC parts

And Atlas robots are complete failures that everyone hates but are cheap.

There should be a yearly show of robots from all company's to show off their latest an greatest

Ooo hopefully we can see what kind of products they make, and what makes them different from each other!

Frostbutt

"Atlas spares no expense in making robots that excel in every area!"

"Volkman is German" German? Or WEST German? And if WEST German, is the CCCP still around?

I bring it up because there was a famous moment in the Cold War when Khrushchev allowed a technology exhibition in Moscow in 1959. The American delegation was showing off the fruits of capitalism such as color television and kitchen appliances. While the Soviets were like "We're winning the space race."

Volkmann, haha, ich liebe es, I love it!
