Mechanist helmet ready for printing (Patreon)

As the title suggests, the Mechanist helmet is ready to download with both STL and CAD files available. The assembly drawing and BOM is in the zip files, along with a single piece version of the main body of the helmet as I know a few of you have big enough printers to print this thing basically in one.

With the release of Fallout 76 I'm now updating the Pipboy to the correct scale which is only +7% on my original dimensions. I'm also trying to fit micro switches (see below) and rotary encoders so that the buttons have a tactile 'click' when you press them and the thumb wheels turn but have some resistance.

I will be making these bodies are hollow as I know a few of you may go further with this and put LED's and stuff in it so it will just be easier to mod for those who want it. Once the parts have arrived and I can play with the model I will get it out ASAP, hopefully this weekend time permitting.

For a build like this, if the amount of non printed parts is too much then I will build a parts kit of those items and happily ship them to you for cost price + delivery if enough of you want that.

As for other builds, while waiting for the pipboy parts I have started putting the small details on the ghostbuster proton pack and splitting the parts up for printing, as shown below. As this is quite a big build and not everyone will go to the lengths of putting in the electronics so I will make two different sets of files, one for a display piece that will just be a simple build and use only 3D printed parts, the other made for the electronics and any drawings needed for additional parts that would need to be made out of different materials or ordered. For both types I will make sure they can fit on the LC1 ALICE pack as intended along with a full BOM of fittings and hoses needed for the build.
