thx for the reaction. It seems such a clumsy testosterone filled movie these days but that's exactly what I like about this movie. And yet Leonidas shows more respect for his wife than many men do these days.

Should watch "300 Rise of the Empire " now. Underrated movie for sure

Vicki mentioned that a fantasy type historical-ish movie like this was filmed in Bulgaria, I think she's referring to "Troy". It was filmed in Bulgaria and Mexico, possibly another country, I'm not sure, but in the battle scenes they used extras from both countries, separate scenes of course.

Both 300 movies were very good. The only bad thing about them was that the directors made them seem like the underdogs when it came to civilization building and the like, which was not true. The Greek world was highly sophisticated for that time. And their soldiers were not half naked either. Athens and Sparta were also not the same kind of Democracy we think of. In Rise of Empire the Athens had cheap looking wooden blocks for naval ships, another historical inaccuracy. The Greeks had very similar ships to the Persians when it came to designs, meaning they definitely were not wooden blocks.

Yes she is. when she saw braveheart I think she mentioned that she studied in Scotland. I always assumed at first that she was British. i think the longer you stay in one place, the more used you become to speaking differently.
