758 - Euphoria Pt. 1 (Patreon)

Annnd we're back.

This is around 1/5th or 1/6th of the entire Euphoria comic. Something like 65 panels (and growing since the ending keeps getting tweaked.) Glad I ultimately split it since these 19 panels took ages on their own.

Now I know this is part of, what was, the main site comic...which was free...but I decided to keep it behind a paywall for now. I'd at least like some small deterrent against just anyone stumbling in. Claire and I do have plans to move the comic elsewhere, which we're still tinkering with. I'm pretty excited about it actually. The main site itself will probably serve as a permanent redirect to wherever that ends up being. It was a Wordpress site using a comic plugin which was no longer being updated by the developers, and susceptible to being easily compromised. The people that hacked Claire's PC downloaded basically the entire content of her hard drives, relayed to the hacker via a unaware, infected website. It was then distributed to other parties involved. They also hacked Claire's website. I didn't want that happening to Shotgunshuffle.com.

I wouldn't want what happened to us happening to anyone else, nor let my own site end up facilitating something similar. We became huge targets, are we were forced to act accordingly. Again, I'm incredibly sorry to all of you that this happened.

As for the stupid drama, I still very much want to get everyone up to speed on the situation, but I'm very much compelled not to as of yet. (Not all the updates are bad, either. Just FYI.) Please know that this is currently my only online presence, and Claire herself has gone fully dark. She regained control of her Twitter account, but hasn't posted on it. If you see any other instances of us posting elsewhere, it's a fake account. Several have been created in the last few weeks. We're not talking anywhere online, sending superchats into streams, etc. Nor have we since this happened. This is literally the first semi-update since deaththreat-dox-pocalypse. (We haven't even had internet in over a week due to storms knocking out our wifi.)

As for the comic, Ellie has won over Anise with her iNimbus gift, and now she's unknowingly working on Juniper. Next comic is probably 65% done...? I lost all my coloring work on Claire's now-bricked PC so it has to be completely recolored, but luckily I still have all the linework/panels/dialogue. And that was a LOT. Thank goodness for small favors. It has a large splash portion that fans have asked me for for years, and I'm happy to finally have it completed.
