Don't worry, I haven't given up on drawing.  I just think it's fun to see old things in a new style and to have more frequent filler content.  

The AI has difficulty with complex poses or character interactions.  If you put a muscular man next to a woman wearing lipstick, you tend to get muscles and lipstick on both.  It gets confused by high angle shots and is totally lost on first person views.  The best results I've gotten have been from portraits and pinups, probably because there are huge numbers of character designs and fashion sheets on the internet that were fed into training the model.  

It's very good at adding detail to a clothing design, or enhancing musculature, or turning a vaguely shaded are into a detailed background.  So I think a hybrid approach would be to sketch out a character, run a few AI iterations for anatomy help and clothing inspiration, then redraw that for consistency.  Still experimenting.

How exactly do you do this? Was thinking of messing around with Stable Diffusion to see how it works.
