Hello patrons!

After some unexpected technical difficulties at the end of 2018, we are back in active development of Stegoball.  Our next milestone is to produce ALPHA+, which includes:

  • Parallax scrolling
  • Random arrangement of terrain (a different path every time you play)
  • Additional animations for the stego - walking, rolling and unrolling into a ball, etc.
  • Under the hood, initial work on the palette swapping feature, that will allow us to easily change any color in any dino to any other color, and even smoothly transition between them.

We expect these changes to be internally tested by us in early March, with a delivery to supporters a few weeks after that. 

Stegoball and Dino Run 2 are being developed by our lead coder Rand. However, I (Miles), the coder of the original game, am about to step up to the plate and start development on a little experiment called PTEROSTORM.  


It's a simple & fast-paced "endless flapper" that also acts as an animation staging area for all of the flying dinos in the game.  Research has already begun, and I expect to start in earnest around the end of March, close to Stegoball Alpha+ delivery. Patrons will get first peek at the prototypes & alpha of course.
