Huh, I coulda sworn I commented on this; anyways, I liked it a lot, though the attempt to garner feels in the last panel was weird.

Eh... "attempt to garner feels" is quite a weird commentary by itself... Sounds like I was trying to do something shady or mischievous. Anyways... Glad you liked the rest of it, though.

Oh, no, that's not what I meant at all! :0 I meant, that it was feels-y, which was unexpected at that point.

I really liked the surprise ending. Definitely made this comic stand out from the rest

Conversely to AvX, I wasn't expecting much from this one ("Pete, Gwen, and MJ again? *yawn*"), and was pleasantly surprised. "Uncle Ben"'s art isn't as good as Bayushi's, to me, but was still pretty good. Artistically, he impressed me more with the opening pages than the pornographic ones (his depictions of exposed female anatomy need a little work, although he can draw a cock quite well apparently). The story was fun (and probably plausible in an updated version of those old comics), and competitive sex always makes for some interesting actions. The MJ anal and then Gwen doing ATM part was definitely my favorite bit. And the last page callback to Spider-Man: Blue, an all-time fave series, was very nicely done (although would've been better done with more space, or skipping the current intro page and replacing it with one of Peter in the present looking through his photo albums and reminiscing).

Spooney Bard

As you might imagine I really enjoyed this one, how can I not in some sense. If there were a thousand issues of this trio Tracey could easily keep coming up with angles in my book. To get this out of the way I'll do some comparisons. I'd say this was better than Blues, the art especially, but a bit below Valentine. Oddly I think both Valentine and Vogue dropped the ball on the endings (more to come), all three started well, and the middle Val>Vogue>Blues. On Ben's art let us take a moment. For one he draws like a sculptor, such is the impressive attention to form and almost didactic and mythological framing he places in his art. If anything Ben lacks a pornographer's touch, his weakest images are of MJ looking away at Gwen (twice this appears unfortunately) and the swap with the girl's faces going lemon-squeezy. When Gwen pulls down her panties it was hard to even know it was her (pacing the opening perhaps hurt this part as there is almost no room for stripping). However the parts that work explode off the page. MJ looking askance at Gwen dropping her coat, and them symmetrically docking was dynamite. The statue comparison earlier is apt, these are Goddesses that transcend space and time. The wonderful lingerie and posing probably could have gone on longer, with the girl's together (especially since MJ keeps referring to a college fling with Gwen in other stories). MJ's fierce oral in front of a cooing and cowed Gwen was an intense and beautifully rendered moment. In terms of story the biggest issue is that this one focuses on competition which really isn't my favorite threesome scenario (it also makes the sex strenuously straight). It also distracted from the voyeur aspect which made the opening great but it's abandonment meant the ending came sort of outa nowhere. Instead of a constant stream of photos casting the events as nostalgia we see live images that exist outside of a place and time even more so because both girls were nude and stripped of a defined fashion period. As excited as I've been to see a cumswap from those two sadly that was a weakly drawn part, and since it's the only time we see photographer Pete after the sex it kills the feels. I felt it made a bit more sense to focus on MJ as Gwen and Pete had a pre-existing relationship. Gwen wants to try and stay above the hotness fray but she switched to lingerie before showing up to the apartment and wore a thicker facial with bright eyed pride (whatever she might protest) next to a luxuriating Watson. Parker Luck died and hopefully we can see Red/Gold again in a purely sapphic context very soon.

Okay I expected to see more lingerie photo-shoot thing going on in this one between the girls. Also talk pulling our heartstrings with that ending.

Just another Monday

The art was was on point. The body details were expertly illustrated. The cover w/ Peter & Gwen + MJ was just as fap worthy. A real good time plus a feels pull ending. 9/10
