Spooney Bard

This is a tough month for reviewers like me. Both issues were smoothly competent, proficient in technique, but oddly dry. Haptics did a great job parodying the 37 minutes scene in Homecoming, but that was kind of it. There were many great jokes, especially the Ned bit at the end. In fact lets have Ned & Pete comfort Liz as she prepares to leave only to find Michelle & Betty on the job. Or the dance after Pete leaves. Also the F Marry Kill scene with the Avengers and the girls. Yikes that whole movie had more material than the original Spider-man musical (so many masturbation references). The heart eyes also were a witty touch and gave the book a whimsical doujin feel. LLama really was an inspired choice. Karen titjob/facial looked awesome and she rocked a stripper pole. The sex really wasn't working for me even with the strong foundation. The first hot scene hit on page five and that was a single panel on the pole and otherwise it was thumb-twiddling. Maybe if MCU Pete hadn't already been used so effectively that popping his cherry would have been a more effective story. The 3D printing had a good joke but seemed more like a distraction afterward, cuts to the sex toy bust (twice) only drew me out of the scene with a page to go. Overall this wasn't too much my taste, but I enjoyed it fine.

Just another Monday

The 3D printer webs were a real smart play on the web shooters. The VR character design on Karen was a fun play, and the redhead bit was a great call back on Peter's preferred woman type. It was a good read about Peter's personal A.I. sex GF. The playing with himself & a jealous personalized A.I. were good add-ons to Karen. She could make his sextoys, but the "best sex you ever had" line by Karen was humorous- considering Peter hasn't met MJ or Felicia yet. I can definitely see Peter using this function more in the future. I wonder what would happen if Aunt May got a hold of the mask, and Karen made a guy A.I. to dildo May? I wonder if he could "borrow" an L.M.D. from Stark for a couple days for "research purposes" with Karen? Altogether 8/10

I must give credit where it is due here. Artwise, LLama is still great, it is always a pleasure to watch his art. The VR idea and the 3D printing onahole idea is one of the most original idea I have read. It was definitively a good read. Sex-wise, It is my favorite theme but the creativity make up for it. To be clear, this issue was really worthy of my pledge and with 70+ issue it is great to see you still have original idea and I wouldn't mind reading something like that again.

This was funnier than it was hot, but I liked it. Actually it's probably one of my favorite books at this point. Interesting concept and nice execution.

Art was great, and I really like the pairing. Enjoyed the issue quite a bit. I did think the web sex toys were a tiny bit weird/creepy.
