Spidercest is the great light fantasy of the Scopsverse so I'm not sure what to say about this one. On the one hand you should be awarded for delving deeper into Jess' psyche, examining the good and bad of her ravenous lust, and growing her into someone who can make a stronger connection. I never even realized in many of the early issues how Jess tries to unestablish the deeper bridge between people by embracing a laissez-faire fuckfest. That must be why she never revisits her lovers except Peter because it creates too much intimacy. Every scene has incredibly hot flashbacks that examine and explore classic scenes in the series. Julia, another forgotten Spider-Woman by Marvel, is a perfect avatar as her abstract understanding of space-time contrasts harshly with the carpe diem of 1610 Drew. Hell yeah futa-selfcest, the Carnage reference cum strap phase fuck, and giantess Drew. On the other hand the assaults early are very hot but I don't think Spidercest was the best place for such a story (and this is coming from a person who pitched a Venom raids story where he travels to the Ultimateverse for a new MJ and becomes enamored with Peter's clone who fails to save MJ). She's unconscious during the early assaults which I really hate, and the Peter bang scene plays out very differently than it was initially described. Jess is even crying as she is Chinese finger trapped by her futas (is she engaging in cognitive dissonance by liking these scenes?) On the third hand(?) like all trilogy starters there was a lot of table setting. This one even dives into the Scarlet Spiders issue (does this mean Hunt for the Inheritors is canon with this one?) and makes good points but that was two more pages of flashbacks. The evil scientists was new stuff but it is beginning to be frustrating to see another single panel of Gwen/Kitty and a masturbating MJ when the classic bed trilogy got three. But what do I know? Opinions are like assholes, and next month might be the month for my tastes.

One thing I'm curious of; Now that the futa well has been tapped, is it something that has a possibility of showing up in future comics or is it a one-time thing given the subject matter?

This is a series I have been itching to know what has happened since it hasn’t shown up since issue 12, but I am glad it’s back and I have to say this issue is really good. Compared to your previous Spidercest issues this is perhaps your best one yet. I really like that you delved into Jess’s psyche and really explore what made her like this and how it affects the people around her. It’s something I myself wanted to know more about and this answers things I’ve been curious about and I’m glad you did it here because it’s quite interesting This would also involve what to do with the scientists that have been involve with her creations and the other clones that have been made. This would also explore the possibility of a new arc to be made from it and I have a good idea what it should be and how it should end. This is something that has to be considered and perhaps go further with the story involving other characters besides the clones and have them against the scientists. Maybe involve Scorpion into this whole thing What I also like is that you’ve kept both the sex and the story really balanced and made it both hot and interesting, but with this whole thing it makes you think about Jess’s own morality and her relationship with Peter in the future. This has been a very interesting issue and I really like it because the whole series has a more developed plot and what the future it will bring in the future of this series and I think you should explore more with the idea with creating your own characters based on it. And I’m a sucker for plots Overall, this has been a very good issue and I give you positive marks on this. Good art, good dialogue, good interaction, and good plot. Very well done and I can’t wait for the next issue. 10/10 for you and I hope to see more Peter and Jess action

Depending on the positive feedback (or negative backlash) it could show up again, as long as it made sense narratively.

Given the massive anticipation I've been experiencing since this was announced, further multiplied by having to wait two days to read it due to RL issues, it would be easy for this to be a disappointment. It greatly pleases me, therefore, that it is not. The only problem (in the loosest sense of the word) is that, given the recap-y nature of the story, it is perhaps too easy to assume that it is only the first in a new cycle of Spidercest fics (perhaps one of which will feature additional appearances by the Jessiclones), thus potentially setting myself up for future disappointment.

I'll be honest, I wasn't too big a fan of this one. Not that it was objectively bad; the art was top-notch (After a while of getting used to him, I've come to really enjoy Llamaboy's rounder art style), it's just that the narrative flow, I feel, was a bit rushed and disjointed. As many above have noted, 13 definitely sets up potential new installments, one that centers around Jess exclusively and not just her and Peter, but that came at the expense of 13 being its own thing; instead, it feels like a "Previously, On..." segment where we see snippets of everything that has happened before in this series, including Jess' Inheritors appearance, then the final page shoehorns two things (Giantess Jess and Jess/Madame Web astral sex) that could have warranted a full story into a couple of panels. Yeah, it was certainly weird that Julia randomly came onto Jess at the end, especially since she seemed to be giving her a "It's A Wonderful Life"-style lecture explicitly because her libido is out of check. Also, this is very minor, but I didn't really buy Julia's claim that Jess' involvement in Peter's life, taking his virginity and enabling him to bang every girl he's ever desired, in any way devalued his affection for them, or lessened his sense of duty as a superhero. I mean, maybe I missed something that was depicted in 11 or 12, as I have not read those, but that seemed to just come out of nowhere. Maybe if there was a moment that depicted Peter being a total douche-bag to MJ or Kitty, or ignored a mugging so he can chase after Black Cat or something, it would make sense, but it just seemed out of place. Again, I didn't hate this issue, I was just dismayed with a few choices that held it back from being great, and I admit that a lot of that likely just comes from personal bias anyway. It's definitely been great to see the series that got me into your work in the first place come back again, and I'm definitely excited to see more of Jess (Or, for that matter, more Llamaboy collaborations) in the future.

After reading this and reflecting, you make some excellent points, I also am troubled by the assertion of Julia that Jessica is harming Peter. Now it could be that 616 Julia doesn't know 1610 Jessica Drew that well (Jess was born well before the dawn of Carpenter becoming Madame Webb) which is perhaps the meaning of her growing desire at the end; that Julia's opinion was borne of ignorance. At the very least this was a very intriguing idea but tonally it felt wrong for Spidercest. SC seemed to be a sex positive embrace of desires where the foibles of characters were embraced with joie vivre. There was always a place for this story but Spidercest isn't it, like Sin's Past (okay hyperbole) it casts a pall over the prior stories. The closest comparison in webcomics is the strip of Ctrl Alt Dlt that tackled miscarriage. In a vacuum it tackled an important topic in an interesting and honest fashion. As part of everything that came before it was baffling and ill-conceived.

Not my favorite sadly. Spideriest was what got me into your channel. But this one just didn't feel like a good continuation or even an ending. In the Ultimate comics Spiderman actually came back to life, surprise surprise, and lets Miles be Spiderman in his place. I was hoping there would have been an issue about Jessica finding out about this and confronting him especially since Miles went to live in the 616 universe leaving that universe without a Spiderman. Sadly this issue just didn't bring all that much to the table :-/.
