Everyone loves a good riff. Take Smoke On The Water: Odds are your first thought is that sweet opening guitar, not any of the actual singing. Riffs have a lot of uses, and they're found in pretty much every genre of modern music, but did you know they're actually used in classical music too? Well, sort of, anyway. I'm talking about the riff's grandfather, a technique called an ostinato. What's its deal? And what does it have to do with pedals? And hey, isn't a riff basically a loop? What's the difference between those? Man, this video has everything! Well, it has some things. Mostly things about riffs. Yeah!
