This has to be the quickest commission and remaster I've encountered since starting the studio. I think it was requested within a week of release!

I typically stay away from multiple renders of a project in regards to skin or model changes as the time involved in rendering the initial frames and post is pretty intense for simple modifications. Especially since having set the bar for minimum length on videos at 30 seconds.

That said, this was a commission and I was asked to change the viewer's skin color, as well as adjust the position so that Morrigan actually slides ALL the way down throughout the video. I added slight variation and change-ups on how far she slides down, as well as adjusting the lighting to work better with the back of the action. The skin color change should have been simple, right? Just add a couple python commands to mess with the skin color. Done.

Nope.

I always have to make things harder (for Science), and I aim to please a little too much. I asked the commissioner to send me an example of the skin color they wanted, and then adjusted each texture manually to match. Which was a bit troublesome, as the second you change the texture of one part of the body, the rest will no longer match at the seams. So, I had to adjust each texture manually and then work with color commands within SFM to make sure they didn't clash where they lined up. Still, the results look good and now the commissioner has textures for future projects that matches perfectly. Assuming I can replicate the results in other lighting. Pretty cool, even if it was a bit difficult to work through on my end.

The camera angle is also a bit different for the non-VR version so as to give a different perspective. I changed the FoV and adjusted the camera height. It's still pretty simple in terms of overall camera work, but it got the job done within the time I had and shows off the main POV action with a different take on things.

I'm sure there will be more of these types of remasters down the road, and I'll take them as I can. I don't like to do commissions on a weekly basis due to the extra time involved and being able to set my own schedule. As an artist I'm afforded the rare luxury of working on what I want, which allows me to remain very passionate about my work. Doing commissions too often can take away from that, even if the money is helpful towards supporting the studio and myself personally.

Enjoy!

I just checked it. You're correct. I apologize. I'll need to fix this next time my render finishes.
