Its almost a Tempest killer!!  It does exactly what I bought the Tempest for - OK its not analog and isn't as flexible, doesn't have the nice drum pads etc - but the tweakabikity is perfect - plus with MIDI control you can access everything via a controller so its probably much more useable all-in-all.

In case you missed it.. here's a link to the samples I uploaded a few weeks ago, plus all other samples and stuff:

Erica Synths LXR02 // Firmware Update // Review and Demo

#ericasynths #lxr02 #review #demo To download the samples https://patreon.com/starskycarr The Erica Synths LXR02 Drum Machine has had a recent firmware update V1.2 that brings some extra functionality, including being able to edit the sounds in performance mode so you can trigger them with the buttons. Its also got flams, microtiming and more PPQ options for clock in and out. This isn't a full walkthrough as there are plenty of other videos demoing thew main functions. Just my take on the update and why its sooooo good! including some sound and sound editing demos :) If you're looking at buying a new synth try this link for Perfect Circuit - I might get a bung ;) https://www.pjtra.com/t/SENKTExLTUtDSEpJR0ZGQ0hJTUZHTA Other places you’ll find me: ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/starskycarr ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/starskycarr ► Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/starskycarr ► Bandcamp https://starskycarr.bandcamp.com/releases ►ClubbingTV From the Studio: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYIYEC4M53KQs4FeYpCY51sHxoK2l2Z0O 0:00 Intro 0:30 Some Sounds #1 1:28 Firmware V1.2 5:06 FM Bass 6:17 MIDI Control 7:55 Kicks 9:22 Transient Clicks 11:13 Hats 12:50 Some Sounds #2 13:45 Final Thoughts

How is this a Tempest killer? (not arguing, asking:) I am extremely interested into this machine, but I have Tempest and AR, and while I was checking the demos for LXR it sounded very experimental, whacky. I understand if you meant like, super tweakable, lots of control of various parameters etc. While I am really crowded with drum synths (Tempest, AR, Machine Drum, Pulsar 23, few Roland clones, old Jomox and a Tanzbar) for some reason this box really interests me. And I dont have nerves to wait for Perkons, which will be a beast on its own and of a very different kind I think.

For me it just negates the need to use the Tempest (which I love). Maybe it’s new toy syndrome. This does have a definite tone - much harsher than the Tempest but it’s easier to co trip )obviously. - there are less parameters). What I meant was if I already had this I wouldn’t have bought the Tempest

Hey, this is great! Found a link to this video on Mr Wiggly's discord server; been looking for a drum machine. Totally enjoyed watching and learning some stuff about the LXR-02. Dig the short jam's you played, cool. Thanks, appreciate it!
